Another tipping thread.

73k in your checking though op?  Invest my friend...invest

Oh and i would report it.  It is technically theft right?  I don't let people steal money from me

Hold up, they stole from you?

You gonna just let that slide b?

If I were you I'd go back, rack up a $200 bill and then leave or straight up take the money from that waitress' pockets. I can't imagine this happening to me.

I'm thoroughly disgusted in them just going up and charging more on your card especially after the bad service.

Someone said invest.. How do you go in do that? Is it always sure profit and what's the turn around. The weak .0001 or some ish interest in the checking don't give me nuttin

I seriously considered this, was gonna make the waitress put in work (unlimited shrimp lol) and leave a very small tip, but the odds of getting the same waitress are slim, and I don't wanna be a jerk to someone who doesn't deserve it.

Two threads in two days that indirectly show off how much money you have in the bank?

So ******* corny.

Do you guys not keep the receipt? Or write a dash after the total? My receipt looks like...

Bill: $20.25

Tip: $4.75----/----

Total: $25.00----/----

As a server, all I can say is make sure you guys write in your tips clearly. That and please do the math correctly.

I am assuming that some one that has 73k in a checking account has twice that in a savings account first off....but if you don't need cash too fluidly a 5 year bond Government yields 1.76% on 70k in 5 years you make a free $1200.  That is better then leaving in in a checking account with 0% interest.  I like to make free money any way i can.

But that being said...OP prob has that much in his checking because he needs to make large sum purchases and needs the fluidity of the cash.

Funny how NT is full of a bunch of Gangstas that hate cops who are down with the "no snitching" code of the streets. Yet everyone in here talking about reporting a waitress.

Side note - Im happy for you OP. Always been one of the cool dudes on this board. Good to see you eating well.
Keep growing that balance fam.

Theres real **** and then theres petty **** ****.

The "no snitching" code was more for cats selling dope to eat, this is some petty bull ****.

Most of the time, petty BS like this would just warrant an phade, but it'd be stupid to go back up there and bat that chick.

FYI: I dont think anyone was ever actually down for the "stop snitching movement", word to First 48.

You admitting you do the same thing fambz? :nerd:

Nah not at all. Closest thing I've done to that is writing down the tip that the customer wrote, but the total don't add up to the tip. Ex: $85 is before tip. They write down $15 tip. Then they write down $95 for total. (This is a bad example cuz you can't be that bad with math with numbers ending in 0/5) But point is, everything is clearly written, what would you do? Imma write down the tip.

Now there has been a situation where the person tipped lower than what the tip is suppose to add up to. Ex: $80 before tip. $15 tip. They wrote $100 total. Once again bad example, but what would you do? Which ever way you choose, you got your butt covered cuz the restaurant keeps all credit card receipt. I have done both options before.
