I feel you. I honestly don't know if the bloodlust is inherent in all of us, or is the result of the media's conditioning?
I question that as well. I question that for a lot of things we have of high value in this world as well man. I think this is a good question honestly, if folks stopped and thought about it.

for the chick there is at least, she ain't putting you in there unless she's bonding with you or your money.

At the end of the fight, if their able to shake hands and respect each other's training then it's all good. People fight everyday and die for other dense reasons

I'm a fan of boxing ever since I was young. I look at it as art. A form of mental chess, where strength, speed, and accuracy are your chess pieces. And your health, and pride are at stake. Can you hit, hit harder, and be effective, without receiving the equivalent damage? Can you out maneuver your opponent and confound them? Neutralize them?...What a beautiful sport.

No matter how advanced the human race may become, barbaric pleasures are still inherent in some people.

It's why football is America's favorite sport.
It's why people overpay for ppv boxing and mma fights.
It's why when a fight breaks out, people watch as opposed to walking away.

I believe humans have gotten so far from what made us humans in this unattainable goal of being advanced. I don't encourage violence at all, but I'll be damned if I don't get excited when I see a football player get a clean knockout hit on an opposing player. I enjoy a mayweather type fight, but I'll take a 1st round Ko any day.

Call me barbaric, idc. I just thought I was being a man.

i dont care for it, but i can understand why people would be interested in watching martial ARTS and fighting. Violence aside, its pretty interesting to watch from a technical standpoint and to improve your own game.

Where is Jaden Smith to make sense of all this?

View media item 1202142If we all drop out of school, we'll be forced to assert dominance through brute strength. Mma/boxing wil become normal, no one will find it brutal.

This man knows.

Everyone has different tastes.  I do find it strange how you can like one hand to hand combat sport and then not understand how some one can like MMA.  I am a boxing fan...bigger then most and i actually hate MMA.  So i came in here hoping to achieve insight....but i hate MMA for the lack of entertainment to me personally, but i can completely see why people like it.  The same reason i like boxing for the "sweet science".  Real MMA fans love it for "ground control" and positioning and other strategy....meanwhile i see dudes on top of each other in spandex just kinda humping around.

But i watch Rigondeaux in aw at his speed movement and counter punching.  Others call him boring.
