The Islamophobia in this country is sickening and quite sad.

Whats new.

In order for our government to operate the way they want, the people need to live in fear and curl behind our government for protection.

It's really a shame people aren't more aware of these tactics.

Theres also a bigger issue going on behind the scenes.

Push this so the people look away.

"Social control is best managed through fear."
Emmanuel Goldstein's book taught me all I need to know about the Gov't.

But doesn't ISIS claim to be following the muslim religion to a tee and according to Sharia law? I'm just wondering if some of the practices that encourage killing those who disobey the Quran are accurate and are to be followed through if one is practicing the religion correctly?
Quran like all other religious books has a bunch of contradictions in it. The Bible says a bunch of violent stuff as well. Some say it's only the Old Testament, but in the New Testament Jesus says that he has come to "bring the sword". There's a bunch of violent stuff in the Quran, but it also says in the Quran that he who kills one man is the same as he who kills all humanity. But do you see all these bigots post this quote in their hate replies on Youtube, Yahoo and various other comments around the Internet? No. They only post the violent quotes that they have nicely laid out for each other to copy-paste out of context, so they can feel extra righteous and get high off their hate.

That's one thing they have in common with ISIS and their type - they only focus on the violent aspects. The Islamic militant extremists either ignore or flat out disobey some aspects of the Quran. I'll give you an example: Quran CATEGORICALLY forbids suicide. But because suicide attacks are for them a very practical way of killing people, they sidestep this quote and assure the idiots who carry out suicide attacks will be banging 73 virgins in heaven as soon as they blow themselves up.

Because of the U.S. alliance with Saudi Arabia and the wealth it generated, the extreme Wahabi form for Islam has spread, yet no US politicians want to cut ties with the Saudis.

You'll throw your arm out with all that reachin.

When will people learn that religion is not the problem.

I've known many religious friends and families who have some of the best values and morals.

It's peoples extreme interpretation of the word that's the problem.

What's the difference between you bashing religion as a whole and the media bashing a single religion?

Your still painting with one big stroke.
its not about religion, or an extreme interpetation of the word thats the problem..

its all about one thing, and has been from the start of humanity.. and thats POWER..

religion is just the vale, they hide there true agenda with..

It just goes to show that religions and the religious fundamentalists on both sides are a joke.

Vilify one religion while the one they believe and it's book was used to justify the enslavement of millions and the genocide of another.

You can see the comedic in more places nowadays I :wow:  :smh: when that NFL ref penalized that player for praying in the end zone. Which the NFL had to publicly speak against as a mistake.

The difference is I think all religions aren't good for humanity. They think that they have somehowhave happened to find the right and true religion.

My thing is you strip the religion from these ppl and then you go deeper to single out them. Once the glass house they live in collapses around them they won't have much left. FTR, I have my own views on ppl in general as far as your take on this.

I see no reaches in my post btw. Just sounds likes you disagree and have a different opinion on it than me.

Seems like whoever is behind that wants to incite a riot. Mad Muslims in NYC.

And the refs didn't throw the flag because he was praying.

The refs don't have pre game meetings what religion players practice.

They threw the flag when he was going into his slide, there's a rule on that.

Dumb rule IMO but the ref didn't say oh, he's praying, flag

So why did the NFL say he shouldn't have been penalized for praying?

They straight up say he got penalized for praying.

if he just did that slide and got up, he wouldn't have gotten a penalty

Personally I think the excuse of throwing the flag for the slide was BS. The slide is not flag worthy

I'm kinda in a weird spot on this subject

The generalizations and ignorance sickening me. But I dislike all religion soooo

But real talk get in many arguments with people about generalizing Muslims

-But whenever you look to a holy book a how your country/society is suppose to be run, you're gonna have problems. No matter the religion.

This...

I find religion to be the biggest downfall in the progression of mankind..

why is this surprising with all of these beheading videos and ISIS stories?

Yeah blah blah most muslims aren't like that, but what other muslims is the avg American exposed to besides the ones on the TV screen?

So instead of bashing each other, go out and have a drink halal shawarma with some cool muslims

Ben Affleck and Bill Maher went at it about the subject last night.

But to be honest it seems the discussion would have been much more constructive if the two of them weren't there. :smh:

He just aint want to accept the truth of it. Like yeah he's right saying it's just these extremists but he doesn't realize exactly how many ppl actually agree with them.

The way I see it's still no different than the teachings of Christianity. For those that follow their holy text, there are things in it that clearly preach intolerance. For all of these Muslims and Christians that claim they're not with that (the killing, the intolerance, the oppression) they're more the exception, if anything they're the ones not following their text completely.

Thing is in modern society today radical views and actions will not be accepted
