NT Corporate BROTHAS...Serious question regarding hair

Oh....does half moon imply shaving any sort of line in your head? Yeaaaaaaa.....if that's the case then DON'T DO IT. That would be MAD unprofessional.

It's not unprofessional, it will just make White people uncomfortable for what ever internal prejudice they already have about you.

Coming to work with only boxers and a durag is unprofessional. Coming to work with Vulgar words cut into your hair is unprofessional. A part is not.

A straight hair person grows his hair 3 inches he'll just hit you with the ill comb-over word to Don Draper

Black dude grows his joint 3 inches it's over  :smh:

My dad was a District Manager for over 10 years and kept dreads for quite a long amount of time. He said he got his hair done pretty much every two weeks so that they stayed sharp.

It helps that he started as an entry-level part-timer and worked his way up.

some people aren't defined by their hair

some people make internet threads asking advice because they may be second guessing themselves

My question is, is a half moon caesar looked down upon in the corporate world? It looks clean to me, looks well kept depending on how it's done. At the same time, it can look wild tacky if it's not done right. But how do the white folks in upper management view it?
Those white folks in upper management will have brotha's like you driving a car, living in a place and doing a bunch of things you really can't afford.
You provide a service and as long as the service is in demand you should have a job, espacially if you are good at what you do.All the other ins and outs of what white folks aka upper management thinks shouldn't matter.Be true to who you are first that way you can never get lost when it comes to finding your way home.

Dude that was a low key, and poorly-articulated way of saying that the half moon caesar, which I think is unprofessional, would only be looked upon as unprofessional based on racist premises. Can you be any more racially insecure about it? It's not about the man being black, it's about his immature, unprofessional appearance. C'mon breh....lemme just level the race field for you right now, since EVERYTHING on NT is related somehow to some racial injustice.

Shaving a line in your head, as a black american male in a corporate environement (a REAL corporate environment, not a teller at BofA or something), will have you viewed as looking unprofessional. In fact, you might blow the interview with that issue alone.

Wanna know what else would be unprofessional? A white dude with the part shaved into his head, with his hair 3 inches long on top, while the sides are very short. You know the hair cut I'm talking about.

Keep it clean, keep it simple. There are ways to do that without looking like a stan 24/7. You think it's a coincidence that all the black dudes on LinkedIn, working in serious corporate environments, aren't rockin the half-moon caesar? They wanna look PROFESSIONAL, and not like a thirsty, young, yamb-hunting individual. You want to exude formality, and conservatism. Let your work ethic do the talking, not your hairstyle.

Like I said I work in a Corporate IT environment, nobody gives a damn about hair styles. "Conservative" companies of today are typically run by old prejudice good ol boys. Unless your in sales/finance no company is tripping because you have facial hair or a part, and if they are, that probably isn't a place you want to work.

So what's the difference between cutting a nas-like part n your hair...

And parting a Dom Draper like part in your hair?

I know lots of IT dudes rockin polos to work. It's not the same. Young kid club haircuts don't look good with suits at a business meeting.

Not to thread jack, but didnt some guy make a thread asking about the half moon caesar, get zero replies, and then bump the thread exactly one year later lol. That was one of the funniest things i seen during my time on nt.
Bruh . . . Lmao.

Young kid club hair cuts? LOL get over yourself. A Part is a simple part, like I said anyone willing to trip over a damn part already have preconceived prejudice inside.

lol get over myself? What does that have to do with anything?

And yeah a part IS a simple part, but that's not what we're talking about. White dudes with parts are fine, IF the hair on the side of the head is of traditional length. But any sort of shaving any lines in your head, or having 3 inch long parted hair that meets up with a number 4 that fades down to a 1 or 0 is a HUGE no no in the REAL corporate world. Again, why aren't there any dudes with half moon caesars in the corporate world again? yeaaaaa

This is a "simple" part. Clean, professional, acceptable.

This is NOT. You'd really rock this in a business environment fam?

And for black guys, who yYOU SAID can rock a half-moon caesar no prob -  You really gonna shave a half circle line right in the front of your wig and walk into an interview or any serious corporate environment like that? That's acceptable to you? And you think anyone who thinks it's not professional has preconceived prejudices? Sounds legit. Not everything in this world is because of racial injustice fam, just a heads up. Some things are just unprofessional, regardless of race. Haircuts is one of them.

This is NOT a professional look, no matter how much you think it is:

Straight up plain and simple, you can't shave ANY sort of line and be taken seriously in a corporate setting, whether you're black, white, brown, yellow, green, or purple.

Stay trying to turn this into something racial, when we're just talking about damn haircuts. lol.

Well aksuited giving yall that white view so while it's rustling jimmies it will be a preview of white coworkers opinions

Exactly. If a black man grows his hair out and puts it in a part like Clooney it will be called "unprofessional".
Lol unprofessional is anything that would distract people from being able to work, it just so happens a black man that doesn't have a low cut ceaser will pretty much distract his coworkers even if he puts a simple line in his head.

I actually like that. Looks clean as hell. You wanna part your hair like that and it can look neat like that...then yeah...go for it.

Who's back peddling? Lol my stance has been the same since page on. What difference does seperating hair with a comb or clipper make? What does either have to do with company productivity for it to be an issue?

so yall think this is unprofessional?
It's not as bad as a half moon caesar, but that line has GOT to go. I didn't say it looks bad. It looks good. It's just not CORPORATE PROFESSIONAL. No lines in your head at all. Plain and simple. A part has to happen naturally, not with a shaved line.

Take that exact same haircut, and lose the line, and you're good.
