So did I thankfully I was able to drop him for Mirotic when he got hurt earlier in the year. Paying bug dividends as the fantasy playoffs approach.
 
The Knicks were down by almost 50 points tonight. To the 20-37 Kings. At home.

They're the ones that need to be having end-of-season-countdown huddle breaks.

I know it's only Year 1 but Phil may have pulled off the biggest con since the cast of Ocean's 11.
 
Josh Smith has a point. Put it like this, those fans that are Hawks fans now, weren't there when Josh smith was there leading the team to 50 wins and a 2nd round exit.

Of course there are some true fans here and there. Most of the true Hawks fans I met when I was living in ATL were black natives.

Hawks and Wizards are one of the few franchises where the majority of the city and fan base is Black. I Used to hear code words like "that's not really my scene." Or "pro ball players are spoiled and don't try hard" as reasons why some fans wouldn't go to thr games. You got some suburban whites that were scared to come to Phillips arena for whatever reason.

They just moved the Braves to the suburbs for this reason. Essentially, the other races only support the Hawks when they are doing extremely well. Not just moderately good. Add to the fact that Atl is a huge transplant city and you have a shaky fan base.

Atlanta is a college football and NFL city.

Yup. Was there in December and saw all the construction around MLK and northside dr. Just looked it up, Hawks, Wizards and Grizzles are the only teams with a Majority black fan base. No coincidence those teams consistency struggle with their fan bases.

I'm white tho lol. And i can assure u being "scared" of black people was not what was keeping me from going to Hawks games in those Josh Smith-ISO Joe times.

That's why I wasn't mad at what Bruce levenson said about playing hip hop and having black cheerleaders. Scares away the suburban whites who usually will fill up those seats...

Shouldn't be like that but that's the world we live in

Lol I'm not saying all white people are scared to go to Hawks game b/c they are scared of Black people. That's insane. I would say there's a good amount that don't go because they aren't "comfortable" being around black people. Two different things. Same thing with the Braves and how the majority white fans talked about Turner field being "sketchy" "unsafe" etc.... When it was actually pretty safe. Braves are moving to Sandy Springs now.

There is some truth to those insensitive emails that leaked last summer. I went to a lot of Hawks games during that era. It was chocolate city in there.

I didn't wanna go for the simple fact I didn't like the players, the type of game they played, the front office countless blunders and terrible draft picks In that period of time. Terrible free agency moves. No way I'm supporting that team and making that Owner and GM rich.

Al Horford, Josh Smith, Jeff Teague. A still good Mike Bibby. Signing a prime Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford. Lou Williams. Real good core.

Don't see how you can't support a team that goes to the playoffs and at least wins a series every other year. Other than Acie Law and Picking Marvin Williams over cp3 and Deron..... Hawks made good moves. Even Marvin Williams and Josh Childress were good role players them.

Hawks historically arent a free agency hotbed.
