The 2014-2015 NBA Season Thread. Lock It Up Please: The Golden State Warriors Are The Champions

Title contenders:

Spurs, Warriors, Grizzlies, Clippers, Rockets, Cavaliers, Bulls, and the Thunder (all they have to do is get in and they're a contender).

Those are the only teams I could seriously envision winning a title this season (six West, two East). I don't really care about the Raptors, Hawks and Wizards right now, because which of those three teams could beat the Warriors or Spurs in a playoff series?

I put the Cavaliers and Bulls in there because I expect them both to be playing much better five months from now (and I expect the Cavs to make a trade to address post defense or perimeter defense).

I can say this would be my list as well, except for replacing clips with thunder.

And I don't really want to put the bulls and cavs in mine either, but I do believe they'll be better down the road with okc. With that said, I'll take any western contender over the cavs or bulls in a seven game series.

The Warriors improve to 12-1 on the road after beating Dallas today. There are 17 teams in the NBA that don't have 12 wins period.

Why are you sold on the Clippers and not the Wizards?

LA Clippers: 106.4 points for, 99.6 points against [+6.8]
Washington: 101.0 points for, 97.2 points against [+3.8]

Washington one spot inside the top-20 in team FT%, while Clippers are only one spot out of the top-10.
Washington is a worse rebounding team, especially on the offensive glass.

They're No. 1 and No. 2 in team three-point percentage, so even as important as that is, it's canceled out for both.

You're not.

Rockets won 22 games in a row once upon a time.
that was tmac and yao, when healthy they were def contenders.  i wouldve think they can win a championship if that rocket team was healthy.

Don't worry guys...the Grizz will end it on Tuesday. I plan to make sure of it.

But, for real...I cannot wait for Tuesday. It should be a great game.

How'd that factor into last night? I thought the Wizards won. They just looked like the better team.

The fact that RJ plays for Dallas now makes this even funnier to me, :lol

You also said warriors were not going to make the playoffs this year. Nobody takes your opinions seriously[/quote]

Mavs drop back down to 7th with this loss. After the softest schedule in the west to start the season they were able to manage 7th in the standings and now have the toughest schedule in the entire league with new Orleans sacramento Phoenix and okc on their bumper. Dallas will need a run for the ages to make the postseason

Don't really insert your opinion if you don't know what you're talking about. Yao only played until Feb. 24, 2008 during that streak. The streak ended March 16, 2008.

As for the other question regarding Klay and Steph:

2001-02 Bucks
Ray Allen: 21.8 PPG
Sam Cassell: 19.7 PPG

AND that was with Glenn Robinson averaging 20.0 PPG. So, very close.

Faried had all that momentum entering the season and now Shaw has him coming off the bench now.
