2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

TJ can shoot he chooses not to tho. He's a pass first type PG with a great basketball IQ.

Hes running the offense pretty good recently. He's getting great passes off and finding the open man. Sure it be nice to have an elusive PG who can drive but I'm loving TJ play style right now for this squad.

Just wanna note:

Rockets game on the 27th has been flexed into the primetime slot.

Ben has been really active on the court lately. Posting a lot of on court video/photos

Original guesstimate date of return was around January

Could there be something they know that we don't?

I'm growing impatient.

Who cares. We won 7 of our last 8. Let's enjoy the moment and be happy when Ben eventually plays after the All-Star break.

I do think it's critically important that he plays a good amount this year to gauge how talented he really is and how he fits in with the team. His performance will be a huge factor when selecting our lotto pick this year (who will most likely be a PG)

hope embiid gets a spot in the reserve, he def deserves to be an all star, in 5 years ben and joel could be starting asg for years to come

If they put the center position back on the ballot next year then Embiid might be starting in the East every year for a long time.

I am enjoying it, but I also know I will enjoy it more when Ben returns.

Also because people out here on radio talking about they would do a deal of Ben for Giannis. That Giannis is ben's ceiling and what we hope he can become.

People starting to look at Ben like an expendable because he's hurt. I know it's just people being stupid, but still.

I don't take radio callers seriously. Like they've been saying trade Noel. Trade ohkafor without actually knowing what they can get back for them or taking into acct that Ohkafor is still on his rookie contract so theres no rush at the moment

People being stupid is putting it nicely.

damn, i didn't think we would be doing this well....guess no #1 pick this year! at least we aren't the laughing stock of the nba, there are 4-5 teams with worse records than us lmao

Still hope. Kings could stink up the joint and we do that pick swap

And they should rest Embiid a few games. Don't take any risks even though it's a minor injury.

Embiid has until Tuesday to rest, he'll be fine. This is something special happening that doesn't come around very often. This team could seriously end up making the playoffs this year. And with Rudy Gay out for the year the Kings could end up being one of the bottom three teams in the league the rest of the year. Lakers will still continue to be decent enough to be right outside of the top 3 picks as well. Making the playoffs, having the whole league buzzing about the Sixers and having something like the #3 and #6 picks in the draft >>>>>>>>> sucking balls and getting the #1 and #6 picks in the draft.

It's possible (although improbable) that we end up with the #1 and #4 overall picks . #1 through the swap with the Kings (we swap picks if theirs is better than ours) and #4 through the Laker's top 3 protected pick they owe us.

The kings are nowhere near the worst team in the league. And even without Gay the aren't going to go winless the rest of the season. Brooklyn by far is the worst team and they are either gonna finish with the 1 or 2nd pick, which then means Boston has the #1. Although they already have a few guards so who knows what they do

And TBH, the lakers are looking kinda awful so I wouldn't be surprised if they got a top 3 pick. Im guessing it would be something like

1. Brooklyn( Boston)
2. Phoenix
3. Lakers

in which case were screwed. But Sac could finish anywhere from 4-7 so i guess thats something

Side note: if Brooklyn were to get the #1, I'd try and move that if I were Boston. Like crazy scenario incoming. Say Sixers get the #4 pick via Sac. If I'm Boston, I'd trade this years #1 for the sixers #4, Ohkafor and a 2018 1st round pick( probably the lakers since it's unprotected)

the Kings are in a tailspin

they have lost 4 in a row, are 2-8 in their last 10 and losing Gay is a big blow, they could easily end up in the bottom 3 teams

I really hope cuz suddenly gets fed up and gets traded future first rounders. That will ensure we get a top three pick.

Loving how everything coming together...can't wait until Ben comes backs and showcase some of those summer league passes to Embiid..hopefully he's been working on that jumper and has more confidence in it.

It's also funny seeing fans of other teams with no hope of winning wanting them to tank rather than making the playoffs as a 8th or 7th seed now.

It's the lottery though so anything can happen. If Brooklyn finishes with the worst record it doesn't necessarily mean they'll get the #1 pick. We just need a little luck (which admittedly is hard to come by for the Sixers ).

The suckage of the Nets, Suns, Heat and Kings the rest of the year >>> Lakers.

The Lakers have too much talent on that team to be completely awful. The West outside of the top 7 teams is really bad this year. So the Lakers are currently two games out of the worst record in the West but also only 4.5 games out of the 8 seed.

Unless the Kings make some blockbuster move at the deadline to get Cousins help then we have a very good chance at getting a top 3 pick from them. And then a pick anywhere from 4-10 from the Lakers.

That actually helps the sixers because the Celtics don't need a PG
