I'm still tempted to call my local FTL just to see if they are selling? Guessing they were instructed to send back like everyone else

Let's see how this situation plays out. Hopefully, the reason why will make it's way to the public.
I guess it's good of Adidas to make this call. They could have just rolled with it and let the returns happen when they happened. Probably still would have profited overall. But it must have been serious enough to warrant pulling them everywhere. Maybe they'll donate the recalled pairs to people in need somewhere.
Eh, I'm a little disappointed, but tons of shoes already out and the Lillard 2 is still on the way. Now it will be interesting to see how the revamped release differs from the originals, if they are different at all.

I copped a pair, then they pulled the shoe off display. They received the email as I was trying them on. Waiting to see what the recall was about.

The donation thing would be great and hopefully that is done!
Disappointed as well, but completely agreed... it's not like I have a shortage of other pairs to play in. Looking forward to these when they finally re-drop, again. My bet is on that front lace loop issue that Schwollo had, but who knows. It'd be interesting to find out

So it was only the Rip City pairs that were defective apparently.
I like the Aways a lot too, so works for me. It's nice to be able to wear them without worrying about dirt and scuffs.

I like the aways as well, but I'm stuck on the Rip City pair -- I really like the retro vibe. I'll probably hold on the aways though it will be tempting

The source for the "delayed" Lilard 2 I read was from blogs.columbian.com/blazer-banter/2016/01/21/release-of-rip-city-d-lillard-2-pushed-back-at-portland-area-foot-lockers/
The blog and adidas doesnt say exaclty what the defect is. I have been waiting for the "Home" ever since I first saw photos of it but Im glad adidas is doing something about defective shoes but let us know what exaclty is the defect as ppl like Nightwing, Sammy and Jeffery Lee already have them and are balling in them..if its a durabilty issue or craftmanship then Im cool but if it is something like the "Bounce" cushioning being too bouncy or too cushioned and not enough court feel or insoles too thick, then I would be mad lol. I love my shoes so be springy.

Let us know if you did and what did they say. eBay sellers like idshoes have them but $30 SH. I called FL in a small city Canada and the guy had to ask me 3x the name of the shoes (I even spelled Lilard out for him) and then checked for me..and they didnt have in stock.

yea the shipping from id4shoes makes it steep, but I definitely recommend buying from them if you are ever on the fence. Have had good experiences both times on shoes that hadn't yet released in the US and shipping is usually relatively fast

I second that id4shoes is a legit and good seller. I ordered from them a long time ago and everything went fine. Kixpress as well. They have some nice deals on old shoes every now and then. I got some Kobe V Rices a few years back for a great price from kixpress.

Played in mine today - recall has nothing to do with Bounce being too unstable. The Away has unbelievable detail and texture in the knit. So far love the shoe, but I did have to wipe a ton because of that nasty 24 court.

For all people in the Los Angeles area looking for Lillard 2s, just copped mine at Fox Hills mall. Every other mall in Los Angeles were being recalled. Don't know what sizes are left but grabbed the last 9.5.

I just balled up in mine for 3 hours. Don't really feel anything wrong with it. Wonder if it's just a minor issue that had to be recalled. I do suggest going a half size down.

Im waiting for the primeknit in these, they do look very similar to the Crazylight Boost (2014) a shoe i played in for a couple of months until my knees had enough of the non existent forefoot cushion. Its so difficult to find a decent cushion mid cut BBall shoe these days thats not a jordan XX9 !

If it's forefoot cushioning you desire, check out the new HyperRvs, been hearing great stuff about it's cushioning.
And on the bargain bins, Super.Fly 3 and M11s are mostly on deep discount these days. My local WSS had Super.Fly3 ASG for $49 and the M11 in med berry colorways $99, that unlocked zoom feels real good on those too.

If that cl boost set up didn't work for you, I don't think a primeknit upper is going to make it any better.
