Jordan Retro 1 High “Laser” aka Custom Lasers Thread

All these a Royal and Blk/Rd customs with the new mold are making me sad when I look at my 2013 pairs. Tough to compete with the way things look now. Really hope they drop an abundance in those colors with that mold in the near future.

I love both molds. Nothing wrong with either, they both fit really well.

Oh where oh where have all the size 14 lasers gone? I'd like 1 more pair asap

djbooduh2o9 djbooduh2o9 very nice. I'm getting mine done soon and I'll have to ask the guy to use the krylon matte instead of angelus.

@KVN
Sick as always man. Been loving your work since back in '01.

I recommend that you don't skip on the Angelus finisher as it protects the paint from cracking. Use the Angelus finisher first and then the krylon matte after.

Oh ok I just googled the krylon and found out it's a spray. I thought it was the same type of product as the angelus. Thanks

I am thinking about making a pair of gym reds or black outs. All the above customs look real good! I am loving the creative energy in this thread

Anyone know the best way to remove excess dye from the soles?

Also, my soles came out kinda pink after I wiped away most of the excess dye in the end. I think I forgot to shake the dye bottle. Anyways I'm going to try to put another coat tomorrow.

What do you guys recommend as a brush kit?

I can use nail polish remover instead of the Angelus leather preparer and degalzer, correct?

Also, one last question (hopefully), to paint the NIKE AIR tag on the tongue, you're supposed to paint the entire tag the color of your choice (what the color of the NIKE AIR font will be in) and then paint the black portion after? Seems tedious and requiring a very steady hand.

1. The best brush you can buy for this imo is the angled "1/2 brush. Makes everything so much easier

like this one

2. i used nail polish remover and everything is good.

3. The only difference would be the amount of coats you would need to apply if you painted the tongue all black first.

My cousin was able to snag me a pair from Jimmy Jazz out in Harlem. Hopefully these hit outlets soon so I can get a second pair. Customs coming soon!

I used the deglazer and a rag.
Ok so I wiped it multiple times and it's still kinda bleeding. Do I keep wiping? I already used a whole rag and like 15 alcohol pads (for the parts that meet the midsole). I don't want it to bleed if I step in a puddle or walk on bright carpet.

Keep at it until no more dye rubs off on to the rag.
