take all my reps

I hate when strangers interrupt my day
If it happened to me as often as it did with her? I'd be pissed off too.

a response i liked from reddit

"Most of us have (to one degree or another) a socially-conditioned reflex to be polite and respond to someone who greets us. Each of those comments, even the "have a nice day" ones come with an implicit obligation to respond. Imagine if once every six minutes all day some stranger expected you to respond to them simply because they wanted you to.
It's not one incident, it's the constant weight of expectations.
This tendency toward politeness is also horribly abused by "sidewalk counselors" outside of Planned Parenthood, to trap people into long conversations in which they're pressured into defending their visit to the medical facility.
tl;dr: I suspect women don't respond because they're constantly bombarded with these passive-aggressive (or aggressive) attempts to strong-arm them into interaction based solely on a guy's reaction to something about them that could be as specific and isolated from her as a person as the way her jeans fit.
Edited to add: and the women who just don't even give the slightest pause when people say these things? Congratulations, society, you've taken a hammer to part of that person's social conditioning by demonstrating that it can't be trusted (and can in fact be dangerous)."

explains why mediocre NY chicks are always full of themselves. Then they come to LA and get a dose of reality.

Man that goes for every woman full of themselves then comes LA.

La is a very humbling place for women.

It hard for me to take a lot of feminists seriously when they bring up examples like this. You're in a public space and you consider a man walking by saying "Hi" to be harassment? I view that as being unrealistic.

The dude walking along with her was passive-aggressive and creepy though.

No one called her out of her name, no one cursed at her inappropriately, I didn't hear any lewd remarks, just men speaking to am attractive woman. The guys walking with her were od, that's about it. Seriously, what do these women expect? It's like they only want to catch the attention of guys that they like while everyone else ignores her.

She's corny. I'd tell her to go kick rocks if I ever saw her.

The irony is also very palpable; you want individuals--men included--to donate to "hollaback" but you won't respectfully acknowledge them when they holla?

Like I said, she can go kick rocks wit' her stank self.

:rolleyes

also..think about your school teachers. No woman has ever taught me ****.

All my teachers that actually were able to do there job were men.

The women teachers would get overwelmed so easily and often let their emotions get the best of them. Petty **** like playing favorites and holding grudges....unstable creatures forreal

What is street harassment?

That term is too vague and it's causing a slippery slope. Her video shows the agenda that certain groups pushing street harassment laws are behind.

These laws are targeted towards a specific group of men. Hence why when you go on these websites supporting this cause the black man is the face plastered on the site.

This is feminist ideology to have the ability to accuse men of "harassment" when in reality they greeted her and told her to have a nice day. There are incidents where men do take it too far and do not back off due to having their fragile ego hurt by being rejected. If that is the case, a specific definition needs to be set. If not, laws will be passed to violate rights due to the accuser's interpretation of words.

It is convenient for those in power to pass these laws. It will allow them to charge people with a crime based off a simple "Hi, how are you?"
