Yea they do it once in awhile. Last time I bought some kicks for my girl and dude scribbled his initials on the box and my girl asked me wtf it was. She's like are these used?

Careful B, by not disclosing info you'll do more harm than good. JB wants premium sales, sold out to be exact. If they don't move enough Retro's your local place will limit/lose their account on "special" launches. The only thing that'll be left will be lifestyle section (Ex: Team Jordan's) Why do you think they wouldn't carry J's just a couple months ago? Jordan Brands wants to see how many units each store can carry, & demographic.
I'm not saying buy every retro, but your money is the voting source as wether you want your local spot to continue to carry the product you seek.
If the store is in a good location they'll eventually spread word, & move units later. You could make friends their now, why wait when their all big and you missed your chance? When I use to be a FNL manager I would always see customers who always shopped with us, & when I could I'd take care of them. Specifically JB Releases, just think about it fam'.

if these would have been released around the same period when the Cav 4s came out in 2012 they will never sit and would be sold out in 10 mins, seems like Air Jordans are getting less popular through the years and looks like now people are more into runners and adidas kicks

I just picked up mine n I gotta say I am not impressed. Too many mess ups on the shoes got me wondering if they are even real. I got em from footlocker so I've never worried before but now I'm second guessing things. Sections of the leather on the shoes are wider than others. Creases in the toe or heel area. II it just me or did others have n notice the same things?? I'm almost ready to take em bk n skip it

Its market oversaturation(all brands), week to week releases, high prices, and them not being super limited. Peoples credit card balances are getting high with these 200 dollar week to week releases. Had they been super limited, the hypebeasts wouldve found a way to like them. Im happy with this though. It works in our favor to wait for discount to what prices should be and being easily available.

I agree, timing has something to do with people passing but the real reason is cause they're not limited. Take this same shoe, same quality, slap the limited tag on it, and I guarantee this thread would be over 100 pages.
