NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

so heres an update on the fit of the 2's after wearing them today casually.
-Heel slippage issue seems to be solved with the updated heel and sock liner.  I wore them completely un-tied today too.
-Overal fit seem to run slightly smaller than the 1's. for me my big toe could feel the end of the shoe when walking, which didn't happen in the 1's, but this could be break in issue.  Some people may have to go half size up or normal size in what they typically wear in a nike.  Toe box did not feel wider which some people have mentioned.

These are really the only two things i noticed besides the cosmetic updates.  Once i work out in them i will post more.

thanks man

seems like the sock liner is similar to the kobe 5

as an affiliate owner ill tell you right now if that plastic sticks out like they say it does then these shoes aren't going to kill it in most gyms as it would be the same as using lifting shoes when doing hspus etc and is going to mess up some walls. that needs to be fixed

^Glad my gym is in a more rugged building. Our walls are cement, and they let us throw on lifters or whatever and go all in during work outs.

Don't foresee these being an issue in majority of affiliates. HSPU walls get marked up/nicked with regular shoes anyway. We use a cinder block wall and a wall that is dry wall with a plywood sheet to fortify it.

Never knew it was an issue until the post above me. But then again I am fairly new to CF

It shouldn't be, but not all affiliates are the same. HSPU are a part of the programming. Walls get marked by regular shoes, the only thing is lifters can puncture dry wall or sheet rock. Those walls should have plywood sheets to prevent that from happening.

Ah I see what you're saying. You're an affiliate owner as well right? I think I follow your gyms page on IG. BackyardCF?

Thinking if I should cop the Black/White 1s or just wait on a nice Metcon2 CW. Dont have any 1s after returning my for a voucher. Ended up copping my wife the 1s. Rocking with some Nano 5.0s atm.

Those that have the black whites are there any differences in fit or the heel? Just wondered since Nike calls them Metcon AMP PX - realize not much of a difference in AMPs but wondering if this is a 1.5 with some subtle innovations like the 2?

Yes I am, thanks for the follow.

So here is the post WOD update, Worked back squats then a small metcon including wall balls, box jumps, kbs and rowing.

Fit: True to size of the 1's.  The toe box loosed up after moving in them a little.  The updates to the sock liner seamed to have fixed the heel slip issue the 1's had.   Normally when I rowed my heel would slip a little on the return phase, in these nothing. Box jumps were solid also  People may still have heel slip due to the shape of there foot though.

Stability: They do feel a little more stable in the hole. I assume its due to the update in the heel outsole construction without the ribs.  The plastic piece does not pass under the heel so it not like a lifter,  but it did feel more stable.

Overall very small updates, but they make a difference. I didn't have issues with the 1's at all, but I do like the small changes they made. Will definitely be copping more when the other CW drop. I do wear these as my everyday shoes too.

Those look horrible. I really hope those are not actual color ways that's will be releasing.

I'm sure people said that about the total orange and lava reds too.. Once they come out.. People will buy them.. Me included..

Wonder if those top ones are the AMP? Fresh posted pics awhile ago with that same color scheme on the sole.

Can't imagine the AMPs being the exact same color scheme though. I'm starting to think the older ones may come out as Samples and the newer ones are the new model.

Obvious difference being the swoosh and the smaller heel piece..

It's not the colors so much as the soles. That camo or whatever it is needs to go. I like that green pair that has been floating around.
