Soccer/Futbol/Football Footwear, Kits & Gear - 2015

The Hyper Crimson/Orange is my favorite cw of the HV. I have 5 pairs of the Phantom in rotation and went through 4 others. The first wearing it will feel a bit tight and the sole plate is a tad stiff unless you run on your toes, then its not so bad. The tongue is my only issue with the boot as it slides sideways. Fantastic ball feel, low profile, awesome fit. I have never liked a boot as much as the first HV. the new one sucks in comparison, hence why I stocked up on the first model. Gradually snagging any pairs of Phantoms I can get for less than retail so I never have to buy boots again haha.

Louis: What size are you? my spot near me has them for 160.

I have the same gripe about the tongue, there's no way for it to stay centered. Maybe that is why they went with that 1 piece construction like the Vapor 10 for the new gen (HV Phinish).

I learned that whenever a boot is about to move on to the next gen, people will buy multiple pairs to stock up. And once they're gone, they're gone for good, unless you check ebay. Football boots aren't like some sneakers where the manufacturer will produce and re-stock them in mass quantities.

I have a small foot, which is a gift and a curse when it comes to footwear. You can call me a broke boy all you want, but $160 is still too much for football boots in my opinion. I am only willing to pay $120 max for a pair, and nothing more. My patience finally paid off a month ago and I got lucky on ebay. You guys will never believe how much I paid for this pair.....$57 shipped

I'm dealing with this right now. Desperately trying to find a pair of FG Vapor IXs in the Fireberry/Electric Green/Red Plum colorway.

^ Fireberry Vapor 9s are my favorite colorway from that model. Only thing I did not like from the Vapor 8 and 9 was the soleplate. The bladed studs near the front always gave me pain. They gave me a blister on the outside of my big toes.

Another complain I have is about the insoles provided for cushioning inside a boot. And this goes for all boot manufacturers, not just Nike. The foam that is used is too thin, probably because they want to keep the low profile and weight minimal. The other thing is, they bottom out too fast, depending on how much pressure your feet produce. There should be more cushioning in the forefoot and heel areas. Since that is where the weight of your body is distributed among the foot.

The majority of pros all wear aftermarket or custom insoles. They never use the standard insoles that their football boot come with. I'm trying to find out where they get them from. Insoles on my Phantoms are done

Totally agree on all your points Louis. They do have the hyper crimson and yellow colorways at my spot if those interest you at all. Not sure sizing but I can check.

I also agree that the insoles bottom out way too fast but haven't quite found an aftermarket one that stays put and doesn't eff up the fit of the boot. It helps that pros have a last fit to their feet.

Ordered a bunch of Nike stuff from 6pm.com

Saw they had US jerseys and Brasil as low as $30, check it out, maybe they have more.

I love when I find jerseys for 20-30 bucks. Use them for pick up games. Hell I use the jerseys I pay 100+ to play soccer in lol.

$40 is my threshold

When i can get a replica jersey for under $40....i usually go for it...work out shirts are $20-$30 these days anyway.

Anyone know the release date on the grape Hypervenom II Phantoms? I think it's any day now, I just have to order something before a flight.

Thanks!

PSG' Champions League home kit

http://www.footyheadlines.com/2015/08/paris-saint-germain-15-16-third-kit.html

Either Ibra or Matuidi will be copped

Edit: Seems like they are going for $180

I like the simplicity of it but 180 is a little harsh.

But yeah not sure why its not a true third kit and they are gonna wear it as the home kit in the Champions League

False alarm everybody the PSG 3rd is gonna go for 90 it was just the authentic that was 180.

The game is back on, I think i'm gonna show Matuidi some love and get his nameset on this kit.

Especially since I already have Ibra's for this year.

Bruh u stay complaining about everything

Kit is crack

Very true, it's my nature to be critical

But wearing a black/white kit at home in front of the world during the champions league when your home colors are pridefully blue/red/white rubs me the wrong way man. You wouldn't want to see your favorite team switch the home identity and go monochrome - would you? Idk maybe you would

But I'm not feeling that, the jersey itself is sleek and clean tho. It'd be a cool 3rd kit

When a team has an all black or all white kit that's my cue to wait for it when it's on sale. It's plain nothing to get your jimmiez rustled over.
