Please Lock.

GGG basically came in and took Sergio's exact spot pre Chavez fight, best fighter in a kinda weak middleweight division that's being avoided by all the other champs, because they're either scared or theres not enough money in the fight or both.

I wonder who steps up to fight this guy first. I don't think he gets ward canelo or cotto anytime within the next year at least tho, probably has to keep crushing b level dudes for at least one more year.

In the meantime while he waits for those big fights tho, I wanna see him against vs David Lemieux, especially if he destroys N'Dam, just to see if he can test GGG's chin. Maybe even Darnell Boone for the same reason. And maybe Jacobs or Quillin too because he's getting to the point where he'd be the A side against either of them. If he got past some combo of those 4 in the next year there'd really be nothing left except the biggest names.

Yea I want to see Gennady against some of the top talent...

I do think he's beatable.. Don't think cotto would be as easy as some are trying to make it seem...

The fight I really want to see is Gennady vs Canelo... Hope that happens somehow.

Canelo vs Cotto will probably happen next (after Cotto gets past Geale).

The only way I see Cotto fighting GGG is if the purse is too big for him to ignore, otherwise Cotto doesn't want any part of GGG.

Canelo already stated in a interview that he won't give any advantages to his opponents (regarding weight); he said he learned his lesson with Mayweather.  I highly doubt GGG would go down to 154 just to fight him.  So that fight might take a few years.

So that leaves Lemieux, Quillin, and Jacobs as potential prospects for GGG.

I honestly feel that GGG is somewhat over rated. He has extreme power and skill but it isn't like he has fought anyone that impressive yet. Although there are some good wins on his record just not great. I think GGG is still on the rise and will be a star of the sport.
Lets be honest fighting tomato cans!

Rosado, Macklin, Stevens, Geale, Rubio, Murray, and Monroe in the span of three years is not a bunch of tomato cans.

Of the other Top guys in his division, how many actually want to fight him?

N'Dam and David Lemieux are probably the only guys willing to take that fight right now. Quillin and Cotto want nothing to do with Gennady. And Cotto fights Canelo before he fights GGG, let's all be real.

Who else is there for GGG to fight at 160? You want to see him in there with Andy Lee? Lee is an awesome boxer, but GGG is the last guy he wants to see in his career.

Honestly I think GGG is a beast don't get me wrong. Yes there are alot of guys who don't want to fight him so it's a catch 22. I'm just saying he isn't as great as others are saying
He is beatable and that's the only point I have. Other than that I think he is an awesome fighter and I can hardly wait to see him fight again.

^ i can dig that, but imo he's a better boxer than most people think. the way he cuts off the ring is damn scary, and he times his punches very well. the only issue i have with him is he gets hit too much. but again he said he did it on purpose for "big drama show," and thats makes dude that much more insane. anywho, ggg is the future of boxing.

AT 33?

why not? hes only been fighting in the US for a few years and look how big hes become. even mexicans adopted this guy as their own . ill give him a few more years if that, to become a superstar. **** i got homies who dont know **** about boxing and they know who ggg is.

At the rate Gennady is going, I definitely see more fans jumping onto the wagon.

The dude is a beast and I can't agree with anyone saying that he's been fighting tomato cans. Boxers are straight terrified of him.

Dude is on the road to unifying the belts and conquering the division. His attitude of "If you want it, you can get it" will definitely win him more fans with each passing fight.

GGG is an amazing offensive boxer and I think people are mistaken when they claim that he doesn't have defensive capabilities or that he doesn't have the ability to box smart. The guy cuts the ring off beautifully and is flat out terrifying when he's stalking his opponent like prey.

This.

It's why I don't think a defensive, pure boxer type can beat him. Any time Monroe was backing up or trying to "box" - GGG lit him up, trapped him into the corners, was incredibly patient, baited him into mistakes. If someone's going to compete with GGG - I think they have to stand in the middle of the ring with him and have enough power to hurt him.

Whenever the stop fighting tomato cans and c level talent (regardless if "everyone" is scared of him) we'll finally see what he's made of. Time will tell, that what we do know [emoji]9786[/emoji]️[emoji]9786[/emoji]️[emoji]9786[/emoji]️ Some of y'all acting like he has Floyd's Talent/Level[emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Monroe was doing a great job of throwing still, but each time GGG connected with a power shot, I legitimately worried for his health. His legs would die each time.

I agree. I feel like the only way to beat GGG is to actually get his respect, otherwise he will just stalk you and pounce once he sees an opening. RJJ was saying the same thing. Surprisingly, trying to outbox GGG showed no success.

You have to be willing to bang with dude, fight smart, and hope to the heavens you're blessed with an iron chin.

It's going to be a challenge getting Golovkin's respect in it of itself. Around 400 fights combined in both amateur and pro careers, and no one has yet been able to score a KO let alone a knock down on him.
