There's a contingent of Mexican's who think he's overrated because of his skin color and his hair.  But the actual number of dudes who outright don't **** with him at all and actively root against him like they did with DLH, is really small. 

He's not really "white" either.  He's got that whitened mestizo thing going on like Danny "Little Red" Lopez. 
 
All the Mexicans my way mess with Canelo, idk what you're talking about bro. Hell I'm not even Mexican and I mess with him, hope he wrecks Cotto

Not all Mexicans are the same...don't group them all together but even then most of the ones I know **** with him
 
Most Mexicans around this way rock with Canelo heavy. Although he does look Irish lol, I haven't come across any Mexicans or Hispanics for that matter that don't like Canelo. This is the same guy that sold out the Alamodome against a guy not too many people knew of before he beat Cotto.
 
All my paisa folks straight from Mexico rock wit Canelo, haven't seen/heard of any Mexicans that don't rock with Canelo....

Kinda figured he didn't want to take that risk with Ruslan :smh: but I really wanted it to be true just to finish the year strong.
 
It's the same story with this dude, wanting money and attention that he hasn't earned and doesn't deserve. Stop running from all the contenders at 147 for the money. If he would work half as hard trying to clean up 147 as he did lobbying for an undeserved $10 million for a PBF fight, he'd be in that position to be the money maker himself. He's so ******* afraid of fighting Brook, it's unbelievable.

So the white boy that all the mexicans hate just resigned wit golden boy. Under new contract canelo will fight 3 times a year.
 
My GIrlfriends dad is from Sinaloa and he hates Canelo but every other Mexican I've come across here in SD rocks with Canelo.
 
If he beats Cotto, he needs to fight whoever wins the unification with GGG/Lemieux. Those next 3 fights should be that winner, Lee and the winner of Quillin/Jacobs.
