Official Ant-Man Movie Thread

Lol
He told Falcon his name? Should've made it super easy to find him when he was looking for him at the end

That's why Hope shook her head in disbelief and asked "he told him his name?" :smh:

Scott is a talented but awkward dude. Should make for some funny situations with the Avengers. As for remembering his name, people introduce themselves to me all the time and unless we speak regularly, I usually forget if it's only our first time meeting.

 look at ya'll, arguing with blotters.

Ant-Man earned an estimated $58M this weekend.

Second lowest debut but considering it had the lowest budget at $130M, that aint bad

But if they give this a sequel we better get an IH sequel

Bruh this movies was flames. I enjoyed this beginning to end. Will watch again, and I rarely see a movie 2x in the movies.

Was good. I enjoyed it much more than I thought i would. Relaxed superhero bidness. Rudd has a relaxed comedy about him.

I didn't stay after though stupidly. Any youtube links up for it?

After thinkin it over, I have to say that the ending to Ant Man might be the most creative, chillax and cool ending to a Marvel movie yet.

Ant-Man was dope :smokin

Michael Pena was definitely one of the highlights of the movie, he shined every time he was on the screen

Paul Rudd was good and Evangeline Lilly and him had some nice chemistry

Michael Douglas was solid and Corey Stoll was aight, another kind of generic villain though

Had some of the better action scenes in the MCU and the special effects guys deserve some huge props, especially when considering the low budget compared to most CBM

Also one of the few Marvel flims were the 3rd act held up, most of their films kinda fall flat or are kind of a let down after the climax but this one held up

I wish I hadn't known Falcon was in the film before I went to go see it, would have made it a nice surprise even though he was in it a lot more then I expected

Also still wish that Wright would have directed it

Movie was really good, I loved the way they put the audience into the little ant world especially the first time he used the suit in the tub. My favorite scene was the fight in the suitcase, joint had me like :wow: Movie had to be one of the easiest checks T.I. ever received

 Son had random spurts of like 3 words.

Repped rfx45 rfx45

Was wondering why he had a cameo in Ant-Man

That's cool as hell :pimp:
I vaguely remember watching that sketch a couple years back... mindblown. :wow:

And I must be in the minority that thought Rudd & Lilly had zero chemistry. Maybe I've been spoiled by better pairings in the MCU (Evans & Atwell and Downey Jr. & Paltrow)

Wow.

I have to admit. Ant-Man was a super-solid, great film.

I thought this would've been a bad move for Marvel, but this movie delivered on multiple levels.

The history, the acting, the cameo's, the battles, the humor.....Great all around.

The only thing I feel was out of place was Lily and Rudd's romance out of no where towards the end.

Love the inclusion of Lang's family, Cross, and "that winged super-hero.

9/10

The fight in the suitcase with Siri going off

Movie was awesome, no other word to describe it, about the only marvel flick I might see twice in theaters

You could feel the sexual tension as early as the car scene when Rudd first learned how to control the ants.

that and when she was checking him out while he was shirtless

Alternate ending from the original script.

In the theatrical version of “Ant-Man” the films ends with a very funny montage where Michael Pena’s Luis informs Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang that the Avengers are looking for him. While this very entertaining scene drops a Spider-Man reference and sets the stage for Scott to join the Avengers. It wasn’t how director Peyton Reed intended to end the film. Originally it was going to feature another action sequence.

Speaking with Eric Eisenberg from CINEMABLEND, Reed was asked if the existence of “Captain America: Civil War” wound up having an effect on the script for "Ant-Man". The director revealed that there was originally going to be a showdown with Martin Donovan’s character, Mitchell Carson.

“At the end of the movie he gets away and has these Cross particles, and there was a sequence where Ant-Man has an encounter with him. But then for a couple reasons, it felt like maybe we should leave those particles out there. In that original thing, he took Martin Donovan out and got the particles.”

good addition to the marvel movie family

need to watch again

Michael Pena shined in this movie and I liked Stoll

Why couldn't Michael Douglas or his daughter sneak him and some ants inside a briefcase and just carry them into the facility?
