Serious or minor, it doesn't matter. I've been driving almost daily for almost a decade & to this day, I have not seen an accident as it's happening. I've seen mangled pile ups and a handful of cars burning on the median.
The aftermath is undoubtedly what most people will encounter while out on the roads, but I can't shake this feeling that any day now, I'm gonna be witness (or worse, victim) to a serious accident. Not the least bit scared to hit the road though; I assume everyone out there can't drive for **** so I'm always defensive.
But back to the point, share what you saw. Your reaction?
I can only imagine the moments being so surreal. If you were witness, did you throw on your cape or stick your tail between your legs?
Edit:
I thought I jinxed myself this morning. I'm driving to work on the highway (Bruckner in the Bronx). I'm in the fast lane and there is a taxi in the middle lane, about a car length ahead of me. This FOOL begins to drift into my lane, no signal, nothing. He's creeping over so slowly that it looks like he's just drifting in the lane. Next thing I know he's inches from hitting me and I slam my brakes and honk the horn violently.
I avoid getting hit and the driver doesn't even skip a beat. He just continued to drift into my lane, same speed, no indicator as if my car wasn't even there and he was the only on the road.
