I don't want to make this sound like a blog post, but a while back I had some depressing **** to share with NT, so I wanted to come back and post something more uplifting for you all to read. I was suicidal for the past few months and started getting help through therapy after checking myself in to the hospital. Dealing with emotions and thinking issues I've never really taken some time to work on. It sounds odd to "work" on my issues, but it makes sense.
Past few days have been great. I've been able to get back into the gym, and the girl I was talking to still likes me, wants to know what I'm doing even after she visited me in the hospital. I don't want to say I'm simping on her by any means, but I definitely feel good about looking forward to talking to her. I"m also reconnecting with friends, making plans, looking forward to ****, and getting **** done. Before I got help, I was unable to do ****. Dirty clothes, dishes, trash, all that **** wasn't taken care of. I was struggling hard this past semester, and was being really hard on myself. Depression has a tendency to dismantle you slowly until you realize that you aren't happy with anything.
I'm off to go do some more stuff, but please if you are struggling with any issues, go get help. You won't find happiness in drugs, you can't change your past, you can't change people around you, but you can do yourself a favor by seeking help one day at a time. It is cliche, but it does get better. You won't want to hear it, but you'll be glad you did when you stick through it.
That's all NT.
P.S. Go Buckeyes
EDIT: Since so many of you supported what I had to say, I just want to say thank you. And I will add a positive post to the thread every day. I'm doing this for myself and also to maybe help y'all maybe understand or see what positive behavior can be like. I have some interesting ideas!
