2015 DETROIT AUTOSHOW

Buick is (was?) doing well there with the Verano and Encore iirc. I think those were big sellers for them.

That Benz suv looks like the X6.

I am not sure if it's direct competition is the X6 or the X4 but yeah that is pretty much what they are going for. I would guess the X6 but there might be a smaller one for the X4 in a year two as well.

I hope they hire a lot of temporary workers. Detroit needs it.

I would be more impressed if they said they were opening up the factories again.

could've sworn the sales of the X6 was whacky tacky for bimmer...

why did MB even waste the bread to make them

bimmer did state that the x6 and 4-series were weak for them sales wise... i know they said that

Absolutely no idea because for the price of the X4 or X6, I'd just get a Macan.

No BS that Maxima does look alot better than most of the cars posted in this thread even though I'm really only into coupes. I wonder how that will transition into a real whip.

If you check out the new Murano, you can kind of see how it might look. The front and overall shape is somewhat similar with the Murano obviously being in a SUV/CUV form. But you lower that roofline and make less aggressive edges and more normal headlight it might be pretty close. The way the concept looks more "butch" and wide might make it even closer to the Murano than we'd think?

Bentley has officially announced the name of its upcoming utility model at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Set to debut later this year, Bentley's SUV will wear the name 'Bentayga'.

Bentley explains that the SUV's name was inspired by the company's namesake as well as the natural world; Taiga, the world's largest transcontinental snowforest, resides to the North of Bentley's HQ while the Roque Bentayga rock formation is to the south in the Canary Islands.

"Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world - combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments," said Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors.

“The Bentley SUV will be the most exclusive, most luxurious and most expensive SUV in the world,” Duerheimer said. “The level of luxury will be extraordinary.”
