Guys always adjust your expemtions. You should really be close to a refund check of $0 by the end of the year or else your giving the IRS a free loan. The money you get back is overpayment, meaning you overpaid weekly, its not free money....

Example. My sister claims 7 exemptions, her refund is $2. I told her good job!  She got all of her money via her paycheck. I think they were taking out like $40 a month federal for her

Irs refund schedule

I don't have anything I really want right now when I get my return, so I'll just end up saving it.

The money I get back is usually from my 2 kids
My state is usuallh around 10-20 dollars back
My fed is usually a couple hundred until I get that child tax

I was making 11.33 for most of last year and that jumped by a good amount when I got my current job. I've been claiming 0 so idk if it'll be affected. I don't have kids, a wife or anything to write off :smh:

I'll probably be throwing mine into my savings account, assuming I get a good amount.

Wait. Wait . Wait

Someone help a homie

So if you have a job but don't own **** you owe taxes ?

When you get your tax check you still have to pay it back to the "man"?

How does this work ?

I just got this job I aint got no ******* money fam :smh:

Quick question
I plan on marrying my girl this year
Probably towards the very end
Our income will put us in the 6 figure tax bracket
How can i still keep my money
Without getting taxed
Also my girl has government student loans
So she never get her tax return
After marriage how can I ieep my money and make sure they don't take my return since we will be married

Wait. Wait . Wait

They take taxes out of your pay check : fed/state ( iff applicable)/ss
By Jan 31 of the following yr, your employer provides you with a w-2 ( breakdown on the prior yr earnings and taxation of income)
You report that via Tax agent or software ( H&R BLock, TurboTax, etc)
Based on that and specific financial situations, you either will get a refund for over pay, have to pay them, or owe nothing

This actually happened to me where they took all the money cus of my wife loans. I cant remember how I filed to get in that mess. But I had to file another form and it took
another 6 weeks for me to get my portion of the money back.

( I think it was married: filing jointly)
