Playoff 8's made it through the weekend, as did bunny's, and the sun's sat for a couple weeks in 2013. You have Hologram foams, King Push's on the same day. Cyber Monday's on the 30th. Yeezy 350's a week or 2 before. Slim to no resell on the last 6-8 JB drops? Plus these are going to be in abundance. They won't sit like the last couple weekends, but if you make some sort of effort you should be able to secure at least one.
I can admit that even though it's my favorite model, 8's are the start of the JB bastard children models that people just don't really like, unless its a beast model like the DB.
Daughter's due on the 27th. So it maybe a struggle, but I know at least 1 or 2 stores will make sure I get something

8s were never at 11 status but they weren't always this unpopular. 8s being as large and bulky as they are they just didn't transition well into the slim/fitted clothes era.

Chicago color blockin is boring to me. Left Air Jordan 1's alone after I copped Royals, Shadows, and Black/red's, the only Air Jordan 1's that count. I'll come back around when the metallic series drops. A lot of y'all tryna hype up chicago's cause you couldn't keep up in '13 and finally got a chance to get your hands on some OG branded 1's 2 years later. Same dudes tryna hype up SBB's and Frags
like Mike ain't wear them, FOH. Oh and Black Toes are the REAL Chicago's....

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect the reverence for the Ogs but what exactly about that picture makes the 07s look bad? The shade of grey? The glitter in the paint? I've gotta be missing something here. Maybe the cuts are cleaner?

Everything you stated. JB gave these more attention to detail to versus the '07's. The grey heel returning is the obvious difference here and it comes down to whether you prefer it on the shoe or not.

assume however and whatever you did and what you did to get the infared 6's (black and red shoe) with iconic status. do again!!!
me personally i didnt leave the house to get 6's and came up on 2 pairs since they made a millon of them and they were everywhere even richards had them
my girl entered 1 raffle at lenox for me (i didn'r know at the time) and won.....
i assume these will be same as the 6's enter some raffles if you must, but i wouldnt do no 50 raffles mulitple states and cities and killing a tank of gas beast mode for these, or pay a crazy pre-sell price for them since the new hustle is pre-sell not re-sell in terms of mark up

I mean I understand that but I haven't seen/heard anything about the newest release that makes one better than the other that isn't tied to preference yet. For instance the 2015 release of the Chicago 1s is far superior to the 2013 release because of shape and materials. And that's what I'm looking for in a better shoe, at least from my perspective. But I'm not a collector anymore so I don't necessarily see the changes between the releases as improvements, but just differences.

you're stubborn just like I am bro. I love the 2013 1's. They changed the mold on them and now everybody wants to act like the 2015 AJ1's are so much more superior than the 2013's. The 2015's are higher than the OG's though

Attention to detail.
Grey heel, glitter dulled midsole, insole and OG strap tabs.
I've owned two pairs of the 2007s through the years n loved them but these take the cake. JB corrected everything we all complained about back in 2007 except the V at the end of the tongue.

I do own the 2007 pair, and I like the way the new pair looks too! I have zero issue picking these up if they're an improvement as far as the shoe goes. I just want to make sure I'm actually getting an improved shoe

JB improved them by making them pretty much identical to the 1993 look wise. Both 2007 n 2015 are durabuck. What else do you want?

What's there to petition about? I just want the "remastered" version of a shoe to be better in more ways than a shade of grey and glitter. As someone said before maybe paint that resists cracking a little better, having the "air jordan" on the tabs not rub off like they did on my play offs, you know, improving over all quality of the shoe. Or maybe I'm just being to practical lol

My 2007 8s cracked after 3-4 wears and the Air Jordan on the straps never rubbed off on any of my 8s but maybe it's because I wear the 8s unstrapped.

The Playoffs and Suns from 2013 didn't crack at all
so I assume the new batch of 8s don't crack. I think the reason the 2007 cracked was because of the shiny paint they used and as you can see the 2013s n 2015 are dull paint.
