Maybe it's because people might not have to concentrate before the letters on their screens arrange themselves into comprehensible words

I'm on the side of ppl who don't give a **** about freely discussing this lackluster movie.

We been doing it for a week
am I the only one who felt the weapon X scene was out of place ?
It was very out of place.

Striker watching the place makes sense but he literally chooses the characters that will fight in the 3rd act for the movie along with the handful of mutants he just happened not to knockout with his sound cannons. Keeping in mind he kidnaps Mystique, Beast, Moira, and Quicksilver (why?) just to ask them where Xavier has gone ignoring the mansion just blew up.

Also why is Quicksilver fast enough to save a mansion/campus full of ppl but not fast enough to save them all from Striker's attack?

I immediately felt like the whole weapon X scene was meant to be comedy. It was so over the top, especially when Wolverine looked in the security camera

What made it even funnier for me was the fact that me and my homie were dying laughing discussing the final Xmen Apocalypse trailer that hinted at Wolverine. The reveal of wolverine mimics the reveal of spiderman for Civil War with the music playing through and everything. Only difference was that for the Apocalypse trailer the surprise reveal is for a character that's been in every xmen movie  Fox is hilarious for that

I don't get how Deadpool was so great and this film was just whatever.

Different directors.

Brian Singer should have no part of Xmen again.
Don't forget the writer, Kinberg is turrible.

Can't find a good movie he wrote himself. At best he co-wrote Jumper and Sherlock Holmes.

Turrible movie.

Someone explain to me why weapon x was stored in a utlity room
Yeah that was terrible, he should've been floating in a tank.

Singer really thought he was creating some tension and mystery by keeping Weapon X locked up behind a black cabinet door.

This is how I felt. Half way through the movie I was think "this isn't that bad. Reviewers are trippin." The ending was just trash.

Was anyone else hoping Apocalypse would choke the life out Mystique?

I was. Couldn't stand the character.

I'll just say this. Although the movie was just okay, I REALLY enjoy Fassbender as Magneto, they need to make a solo Magneto film.

At a point where we can be wowed by films like the dark knight trilogy or the Cap trilogy, for the OG to still just be okay is unacceptable to me.

I'm assuming you guys are subscribed to this thread. Why would you not read the last post from general to something that you're subscribed to? Weirdos. Not even a glance?

*edit

Ohhhh in those cases I unsubscribe if I don't wanna get spoiled

Saw it last night. Came in with extremely low expectations due to reviews and left satisfied. Plot was definitely shallow as hell but the action scenes were A1. Typical Summer blockbuster.

Just got back from the theatre.. Enjoyed the movie an awful lot...

My only minor nitpicks are that I wish they made Apocalypse even more powerful...

And Ive had it up to here with mystique in human form yappin away...

All in all a very enjoyable movie... I really enjoyed magneto again..

sounds like x-men has become a 'turn off your brain and enjoy the ride' franchise :smh: will wait until its free on hbo.

Just came back. It's a turn your brain off for sure.
We got so spoiled with Marvel Studios. This one was made for the brain dead.

Yea. You guys really should've just stuck to the bootlegs lol instead of paying

Boycotting the movies needs to be more of a movement. Just finish off fox for good.

Saw it 10:00 this morning and first time on this thread but I thought the movie was not that bad. Solid 8-8.5 for me. Was I the only upset this was more comedic than action? Apocalypse was so weak and wasted. The Four Horseman were shambles, did my boy Warren and my girl Betsy wrong, just eye candy.

Favorite part was Cyclops, bias for sure since he's my favorite X-Man. Nightcrawler and Quicksilver was dope too. Jean was aight. Mystique should stay Mystique. We get it Singer, it's Jennifer Lawrence. Same thing for Beast.

Marvel needs the rights back ASAP. This has to stop. We need a real first class. Been waiting for Iceman to show up big on the big screen along with Angel/Archangel and also Cyclops. Imagine what Marvel can do. A solo with Archangel Saga storyline would be so dope. Cyclops' Origins. Damn. We gotta stop settling for mediocrity. Anyone with me on this?

agreed, the movie was mediocre at best. some scenes made me feel like i was watching a power rangers film. The only time apocalypse seemed apocalyptic was when they showed his face up close and when his eyes whited out and etc i guess :rolleyes. when his full body was displayed IMO it was laughable, just seemed very weak. I think it deserves a second watch though.

saw deadpool again. it was a good movie. not great. but good. i think with a bigger budget they can make a great sequel.
exactly my feeling towards the film. I bought it to rewatch a 2nd time and it wasn't any better or any worse, also agree with it possibly doing better with a bigger budget. These are not bad films but imo it just seems to be lacking something. Its watchable for sure but I don't get that same feeling from watching these films like I do some of the marvel studios films.

It certainly wasn't elite, but I was happy enough with it. Still has a few timeline issues and some character issues, but balanced out with a few things I really liked. Fassbender was tremendous, the action was cool, Munn was gorgeous, Issac was pretty good, and limiting Wolverine was nice.

Oh and the contacts. If you like seein eyes change like Uncle Charles, this movie was for you. Musta been 15 they went with eye colors changing to white or black.

6/8
