I love Watchmen the comic.

Watchmen the movie was awful.

Once again Alan Moore produces a work of art that Hollywood completely fumbles in film.

Charles meets Charles is one of the most touching CBM scenes.
These statements are so ******* weird

Reminds me of dudes gushing over how emotional they got over the Gwen death scene in ASM2.

I mean Im not trying to get into this exhaustive confrontations with you because you'll tire your everyone to death and the thread becomes unreadable (I honestly believe this is why many try not to disagree with you or even bother to post a reply that do not agree with your view) but you don't have to be a f'n d*ck all the time. What is this, you're trying to fill the void that sunshine filled?

*queue meandering reply from you because you ain't never gon' let anything go and you always got to have the last word and got to be 100% correct about damn everything*
To be more accurate it's about how you reply, it has this high-horse attitude and almost always trying to make people feel below you.

But you know I am not going to get drawn to your world of reasoning where you only see your side, ain't no one got time or energy for that.

So yeah good luck to whoever you get drawn to your convoluted world.

Doctor Manhattan would wash everybody. He's weird while also having crazy powers.

Red Skull wasn't handled properly and I guess people felt that it was boring.

Captain America was ok. If I'm being honest, it's the worst film in phase 1 next to IM2. Movie was completely rushed. The CGI was weak. It was low budget and it shows. I cringed at how awful it looked when Capt was jumping over the fences and buildings to catch dude. All of a sudden he's a tactical genius and prolific in every fighting technique.

Peggy was the best part of the movie (I did like Red Skull), just being honest. I feel Agent Carter the show is a better representation of what Captain America could've been in a sense. The whole 40s vibe. The way they talk. The talk. The radio soap Opera and stuff. They could've played into that stuff more. Am I the only one who thinks the movie from the point of freeing the soldiers to the end is one big blur with only pause was the death of Bucky?

It just seems to me that Marvel rushed to fit it in before Avengers came out. They owed us and delivered on it big with TWS.

If I'm going to rank MCU films it's

Avengers
Iron Man
TWS
GOTG
IM3
AOU
Thor
Ant Man
Incredible Hulk
Captain America
IM2
Thor 2

You didn't see AOU?

Cap1 was not a good movie. They botched the depiction of WW2 and Cap's role in it. They should've committed all the way to adapting the comics framing of it whether the MU or UU.

surprised this is only 18 minutes long....

These videos are getting so grating that it actually makes me want to stick up for F4. :smh:

X-Men 2 was in my top three comic book films of all time, but it does lose its' luster after several years.

The first Captain America was extremely good. Not being a Cap fan, it was a good introduction to the character (comic accurate or not) and all the performances, sans Hugo, were very good. It's up there with Batman Begins and Iron Man as the best origin films, IMO.

I just don't see it. To each their own, but Capt was trash for so many reasons.

Most importantly the filming. Just horrible. The look when Capt was running in the hanger, the fighting and pretty much all the jumps. Literally the best parts were pre-Capt and when the plane was about to crash til the end. It was just poorly made.

Next time you watch it, really watch it. I've never fell asleep in the movies, but I was close to it with all them damn stage appearances they had him doing.

Part of the reason TWS is so great is because of how bad Capt 1 was. If it were good, TWS wouldn't been as praised as it is (still would be but there would be a difference).

Like u said to each their owm. I was always iffy about cap as a character. Played the Capcom games with him. Enjoyed the civil war comics but still didnt truly enjoy cap as a character. But then evans brought him alive and the origin (though not completely accurate) was awesome. I then became a fanatic for it. ) thats just me ofcourse

Best comic films of all time Dark Knight, Batman Returns ( Michelle Phiffer best catwomen of all time) Iron Man and Winter Solider.

My top 5 comic movies to date (excluding graphic novels):

The dark knight, iron man, GOTG, avengers and WS

Then I would have Spiderman 2 and batman begins..

Is 'secret service' considered a graphic novel?

Cause I would have to bump WS and throw kingsmen up there.. Was really thinking about 300 and sin city as far as graphic novels go

I'd throw Sin City.

That was a dope movie

Kick*** was great too.. As much as I enjoy the movie, cera downgrades Scott pilgrim for me

I think my issue with kickass was that it got too serious at times which kinda turned me away. Kinda the same problem that I had with Kingsman. Either go full wacky or serious. But don't mix wackiness and then try to get serious for moments, then wacky over the top.

Like Kkngsman would've been a much better movie without the stupid head exploding fireworks segment

As a Cap fan I agree. To me the last 10 minutes of that movie were more entertaining than the movie as a whole. Red Skull and Peggy were the best components. My hopes were sky high when it was announced Joe Johnston was directing as I thought it would be like "the Rocketeer" in tone and to some degree it was, I just wish they had delved deeper into the period like you said. It's almost like they wrote the audience(and the character off to some degree) when it came to telling his origin, like the audience wouldn't be interested too much in learning about Cap because his beginnings don't start in present day.

They def delivered with TWS and it looks like civil war will build upon that. I just find it funny that Caps movies started off bad and improved greatly, while Ironmans movies started off great and went to crap by the 2nd movie. I can watch ironman 1 all day, captain america 1 not so much.
