I'm posting this in general because it seems this is the forum where a lot of people end up when they no longer have that crazy  interest in sneakers.   I'm looking for a little advice and hopefully this thread will help people in the future if they are looking at doing the same.  I'm in the process of moving so I thought it was a good time to get rid of a portion of shoes.  Last night I pulled about 1/4 of my shoes that I would like to get rid of.  I've sold to Flight Club in the past and sell on ebay whenever I want to get rid of something but nothing like this.

So, I have 31 pairs of shoes, almost all Jordans, all size 12.  Nothing spectacular, nothing rare.
2 pair Jordan VI Black / Infared 2014 Size 12
3 pair  Jordan V Grape 2013 Size 12
1 pair  Jordan IV Black / Red 2012 Size 12
2 pair  Jordan III Fire Red 2013 size 12
1 pair Nike Kobe 8 System SS All Star superhero size 12
1 pair Jordan XI Black Red 2012 size 12
1 pair Jordan V Laney 2013 size 12
1 pair Jordan XII Gamma size 12
2 pair Jordan IV Green Glow size 12
3 pair Jordan V Fire Red (silver tounge, red jumpman) 2013 size 12
2 pair Jordan XI Gamma size 12
1 pair Lebron X All Star Area 72 size 12
2 pair Jordan IV Toro Red size 12
1 pair Jordan III Powder Blue size 12
4 pair Jordan X Powder Blue size 12
1 pair Jordan X Powder Blue size 13
2 pair Jordan XI Legend Blue 2014 size 12
1 Pair Lebron X Pure Platinum ReEntry Size 12

Options I'm looking at

1.  Ebay - I would clear around $7225

Pros - Make about $1,000 more than other options, set your own price

Cons - Will take a while to sell everything, dealing with ebay, paypal and buyers is NOT always easy or fun.  Takes time to pack and ship everything. If you don't already sell on ebay, you won't get fair prices until you establish some feedback.

2.  SoleSupremecy - They quoted $6225

Pros - Quick cash within a week, all 31 pairs gone

Cons - Less cash that grinding it out on ebay or other means, cost of shipping and insuring 31 pairs (I have no clue what the best way to ship a large amount is, going to be doing some legwork today - I usually use USPS to ship but I've heard UPS might be a better option for large packages?)

Other options (I'm not looking at these options but might be right for others)

Craigslist - Not a viable option in my area

Flight Club - I didn't really like selling through them.  They get the best prices but they take a large percent, you still have to wait for the shoes to sell and you have to ship to them.

Selling groups (local or via FB or Instagram)

Other stores similar to SoleSupremecy or Flight Club

Selling on NT Buy/Sell - I have never used and @silkboi  mentioned it might be more for individual pairs, not bulk.

Pros - helping out NT members, no ebay fees

Cons - Time of selling a large amount, still have to deal with individual shipping and packing of each pair, @mjmoney23  mentioned buyers sending lowball offers

I know this is personal decision and will vary from case-to-case.  I'm personally leaning toward just selling the whole lot to SoleSupremecy and being done.  Once I figure out the best way and cost to ship the, it'll help me decide for sure.

Thoughts and advice from anyone who has sole some of or all of a collection?  Anything I am overlooking?  Best way to ship 31 pairs of shoes? I'll update this thread with info as it comes in.

This is not a selling thread, please do not contact me regarding buying pairs.  This is not a humble brag thread

What if I told you. I'll pay you $1000 to ship my 30 pairs of shoes. Would you do it?

I would do the whole thing at once to SS. Unless you do not mind it taking about 2 months on Ebay and dealing with all the lowballers.

I sold 20 pairs via Rif LA. Great service. SS tried to low ball me so I said no even though I was willing to drive from SoCal.

At this point in my life when time is a factor, I don't care to eBay or sell one by one, given how much flaking will occur since the demographic is kids.

I sold more pairs.. and I relied on eBay and Instagram.

I made an instagram page, posted pics of all my sneakers, etc.. then mass followed people who followed sneaker instagrams, and sold about 15 pairs like that.

On Monday I sold my very last pair, haven't had any problems.. no paypal disputes, no bad feedback on ebay, etc..

Yes with shipping time and money included ss might be your best bet. You also forgot to add as a negative for the Nike talk buy and sell forum the lowballers that want the shoes for less than retail.

Thanks everybody for your info, giving reps out as the posts roll in

@wj4  thanks for your input, I am going to see if there are any places in the midwest who I may be able to drive to

thanks @mjmoney23  I will get that added

I didn't know you're from the Midwest. I will vouch for RIF. They're in a very tourist part of LA that gets foot traffic like crazy. I've seen folks waiting for the store to open and actually buy Red Octobers for the outrageous asking prices.

I've seen folks drive from Utah and other states to drop off their collection as well as mail them in. Personally, I would be weary of that since I'm more hands on. They also just opened another location in the Bay Area so business must be good.

Thanks again @wj4  I am going to contact them and see what they say.  I'd have to ship, which is a negative but its in the same range as SS. You got me thinking about local places and I just contacted two stores in Chicago (Exclusive Sneaker Chicago and Overtime Chicago) where I could drive the pairs to.

Just throw it up on SS or FC and be done with it fam. FCNY gets a lot more traffic than SS so I'd suggest you go with them.

If you had more shoes I'd suggest grinding it out and selling them on IG or twitter or something, but it's not really worth your time to do that.

Flight Club.

Or give them to me, I've never had a pair of shoes in my life, help a child in need.

Appleton WI about a half hour from Green Bay

If I were you breh, I'd honestly wait until you have some time and just drive the kicks to FCLA or FCNY. **** that shipping cost.

If you were shipping 100+ shoes or something, I'd say it was worth it, but for 31 pairs, 1000 is not worth it.

Plus you get a couple days to chill in the left (LA) or best coast (NY).

I wouldn't advise feeBay. Potential scammers too.

I say try to negotiate something better with Sole Supremacy.

yeah **** eBay, nobody should even consider that mess. fees OD, for that go consignment all the way if you're not going to grind it out on IG or twitter.

My original post was misleading.  I didn't mean it would be $1,000 to ship the shoes to SS.  I meant that what they were offering is about 1,000$ less than if I would sell pairs individually.  I have no clue what the shipping would be but I am assuming 100-200$.  I have to check around for the prices.  Thanks for everybody's input so far

I think you know the answer.  Don't bother selling in person because you might get robbed, even if you meet up at the police station.

If you don't wanna put in the work to sell it, then you won't target certain audiences.  Good Luck.

West coast is dat best coast tho

Sole supremacy or piecing them out in sneaker groups is the best way tbh, ebay isnt worth the hassle. If you want to sell on NT forums let me know, i wear size 12 as well.
