 taking my first crack at the  nba  today...

im fading hopskins because its supposed to be raining so im banking on them running alot more... hopskins is seeing the most targets out of anyone in the L at nearly 15 targets a game. so if he doesnt go off and is owned by more then half of people in LU you got an advantage right there but if he goes off and you dont got him smh ..... thats a tough decision but i think the dolphins going to do a good job containing him. the panthers held him to 5 catches and 50 yards and miami has a top 10 secondary..... 

points are what matter. i do try to put lower owned dudes who i think will go off but then i try to stack them with a bunch of studs just like everyone else does (common sense) . havent won yet but its fun as hell.. i see carson palmer and the arizona d will be super high owned this week and rightfully so . the niners were all over the ravens last week. az on paper looks like carson should have a field day with that ravens d. 

You're talking tournament strategy, which it sort of makes sense. But, you can't go all contrarian and expect to hit it big IMO. You're right about the weather but his targets are still secure. He roams around the field and none of their DB's leave their side. Norman from Carolina tends to rotate which is why Carolina was able to hold him down.

Again, your strategy makes perfect sense for a GPP. But in a cash game, he'll be close to 100% owned. You won't gain much of an edge fading him.

I know it's not always possible but try to watch the games too & not just use analytics/game script etc. Texans have absolutely no offensive weapons outside of Foster & Hopkins & the D is severely overrated which is why they ate at the top of the league in pass attempts

what do you guys think about taking a gamble with  christine micheal in a gpp . he might get the start , hes dirt cheap and is def going to be low owned.

It won't be Karlos first start #s but he ain't gonna be low owned, I can guarantee that. I have exposure to him in a low cost tourney but I wouldn't spend any real cash yet. Even if he plays great it's still a 3-Way Timeshare.

I think Turbin in CLE will have no ownership and will be a good sleeper if Duke can't go

Gurley and Murray are my top guys this week. Going to be make sure Include Doug Martin and Bell in LU's as well tho.

yeah i dont like the matchup against the giants who have a very good run defense , they allowed dmarco a hundred but have done excellent against most teams running games. devonte freeman only had 20 ish yards against the giants and i figure with the cowboys having weak passing game at the moment not a good idea after all. . 

dont like murray for the raiders because the chargers are one dimensional and are going to be  airing it out .oakland might be having to play from behind . which might mean less touches. 

 raiders and chargers are total opposites. raiders great run d horrible pass d . chargers good pass defense horrible run defense....... gurley is a must play because the rams have no other option.....

If you're doing preseason, stay on top of Twitter. You won't believe how highly owned stars who are already ruled out today will be in tomorrow's tourneys. People just play for the sake of playing. Regular season, I can give a few pointers but guys like Rook & awwsome (just to name a couple) are probably better equipped to answer those.

I dug into it a little more and MIA's pass defense is actually not great. They're 31st in pass DVOA and 32nd in defense vs. #1 WR's. Think Hopkins has a good shot at paying off his price tag this week.

alot of it is on twitter. My buddy made a joke account where he follows people who give out some news ( @sethayatesDFS )  is one to follow, also on twitter he is subscribed to a list which is called NBA DFS NEWS by RotoGrinders. It has all NBA Beat writers and News alerts.

also what i do for myself is look at previous games to see how much time on court that dude recently seen to get an idea of what he might see for that night.

Last night there wasnt alot of news about starters sitting out/resting besides like iggy/curry. Some news is tough to find and you might not find much but you sorta can get a great idea by looking at previous games.
