The Official Kobe X iD thread

So....5 dollars more and that puts people over the edge? Or is just the idea that they're charging more? I'm just going to stick with one pair - No imagination/silver swoosh, keep the fingers crossed that ebates is still at 10% for NDC and call it a day.
It's the idea that Nike just keeps pushing the limits.  It may only be $5 but it shows there disregard for the consumer, to an extent.  It's $5 x however many pairs they sell.

If HTMs were $300 instead of $250 people would still buy. Nike's new slogan should be "Pay to Play" lol.

Still beats owning a pair of adidas/reebok/new balance...etc

Kinda LOL at people sorta hurt over $5. People gonna be buying multiple pairs, re-selling, etc etc etc. If you are playing this game and $5 makes you feel some type of way, well, dunno. But calculating Nike's increased profit by charging $5 more a pair isn't gonna get you anywhere.

And frankly, if the choice if $5 more or they don't drop, which do you choose? I pay the $5.

I think if Nike initially put them up for $250 less people would be salty.

I was ready to drop $245 5 bucks ain't a big enough difference to make me change my mind. Bring them on!!

Either way I'm still copping two pairs. I think Nike should've just initially put the price as $250. Nike saw the hype after the date was announced and took advantage of it by increasing the price. Stop being greedy Nike..... and stingy with those promo codes lol.

$5 isn't going to stop me from copping 2 pairs, but eventually this price increase tactics has to stop. Next year is another $5 and the year after that and so forth. Before you know we're looking at $300 IDs. **** that nonsense.

this man spoke the truth . its not about th 5$ this year , whoever is addicted to sneakers has a pocket who can handle that but propably nikes plans are long term plans that will lead to prices out of this world .

Eh, maybe for certain shoes but not for all of em. I think theyve hit the ceiling on any sig that isn't Jordan.

LOL...Who would of thought that the Anticipation/Highlight of the Kobe Xs would be .....IDs? lol  Brilliant from Nike $$$$$$ lol

ebates back to 4 percent

Nike determines those numbers, so Nike knew.

I bet Nike is reading this thread like " Oh y'all wanna complain about $5, lemme change this ebates percentage as well. Keep talking and we'll raise the price to $260 before Thursday" lol

They've already hit $300 on iD's though with the LeBron elites, so the price hikes aren't unheard of. It sucks for the consumer but Nike isn't stupid, multicolor is always hyped and almost always sells out. Lowering the eBates though is just an extra punch in the gut though.

On other models I agree. Although the Kobe HTM and MCs are a different animal and I don't know where it's ceiling is at. If Nike decides tomorrow to up the IDs to $300, there will still be plenty of people ready to cop.

Nike is smart. We're all just foolish for playing their game, myself included.

Have there been any limited/quickstrike Multicolor IDs other than the MC/MM 9s?

Hoping that these Xs will be available for a while like the Roshes or Frees

If Nike didn't have such a generous return/voucher policy, prices would probably be lower. People who buy 5 pairs and only keep 1 contribute to this. It's a nice policy to have, but just saying, take the good with the bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if the MC's sold out pretty quick the first day, but then Nike loads another batch the following days. Hopefully they've learned something by now...ID's selling out is ridiculous. Shouldn't have to happen.

You're not new to this. Nike has been doing this for how many years now?

Oh I'm very aware of Nike's annual price hike. I remember in the KB8 thread where I said $250 is my ceiling for resale on Kobes. That ship has sailed long ago unfortunately.
