Throwback is better than anything on 8701.This is a great topic of discussion. My opinion on these two albums often switches depending on how I feel. Honestly, both albums are extremely complete. I think Confessions showed Usher taking his vocal talents to another level. You ever notice how someone like Chris Brown never vocally improves between albums. Usher's jump from My Way to 8701 to Confessions was evidence of how seriously he took his craft at that point in his career. He was already dope as a youngin, but he just took it to another level.

I mean, this is really unfair. Such dope work. Ima roll wit Confessions as my final answer for today tho, and it's a photo finish.
I wish Usher would go back to making great music and stop following trends. He wasted years tryna do that euro pop ish because it was hot. And he spends a lot of time making songs now that just don't seem to match him, thematically speaking. I hate to see him waste that voice and those performance skills on these wack songs these producers/writers have been giving him. He lost his whole swag that he used to carry on the track. Like his rap verse on Seduction...that's like My Way Usher. It seemed natural. Now, his swag is a lot more contrived. I'm getting off topic, but yeah...Usher dropped two bangers with these albums. Appreciated
