Some guy is was chopping it up with at the Infiniti dealership called them "Galaxy breds" because the speckles reminded him of the Galaxy foams.

Should have brought back the Space Jams this year. In their true 2001 form, but thrown 45 on the back.

It would've made sense because its the 20th anniversary of Mike breaking them out in the 95 eastern conf. semifinals against the Magic.

Eh at some point they won't sell that well so they might have to produce less.. ~$200 seems like the magic spot for these, I bet they are going to measure demand for a price increase next year based on how well/fast these sell. They restocked LB 11s to death so much so that resale isn't even that bad anymore-something tells me they won't produce as many of these though (but this is all just speculation on my part).

Seems reasonable, surprised foams sustained such a high price point for so long and these have the benefit of only dropping once a year and being the brand's flagship retro model.

reasonable? The foamposite was $180 20 years ago. The price increased for only $50.

The XI was $125 when it came out the same time. Even at $200 it is outrageous and 72-10 is $220. $50 for inflation, $45 for what?

Same difference. Anything over $185 for the XI is overpriced. If nike's been saying it's inflation then i'll give them the $50 (since that's what the price increase for the most expensive Nike at the time) and extra $10 for the xi's packaging. anything more it's just because they are greedy.

damn $185. I think anything over 150 is a crime, specially on retros, but this topic is a old used and over abused dead horse.

$180 20 years ago was A LOT of money... XIs nowadays have premium packaging and shoetrees.

You missed the point. If Nike is able to keep the inflation of the foamposite to only $50 which material wise stays the same. They can keep the inflation of the XI the same when they are giving us less quality of leather. The box and shoe trees are just gimmicks that cost them very little to make.

All we are buying are marketing and hype.

Made me wonder though....How much is the retail pairs? I'm all in for this release, but how sparkly do you really want be on a summer's day?

I hope it's not too much more than the black Gloves. I kinda didn't even like that......
