It don't matter how solid you think your S/O is or if you been together 10, 20+ years they can still switch up on you. Even the ones that no one ever expected to go outside the marriage can play you. It's a calculated risk I suppose, but the proposition as a man in the country if you really got things going for you financially it just doesn't seem worth it. Cot damn :smh:

Dudes who are happily married will say it's worth it...

But putting aside the façade of security from another person...

Most men has very little to gain from marriage and a lot to lose when it comes to tangibles.

And this is coming from a guy that will get married some day.

/thread.

People need to start paying more attention to the individuals they are getting intimately involved with.

Definetly is a calculated risk. But what in life isn't? Yeah, you have your thoughts of insecurity but that's just a reflection of you not handling yours and finding blame for what's not going in your life.

I'd only do it if I could get a diesel pre nup that makes the potential divorce painless. Last thing I wanna do is become a self made millionaire and have to give half to my ex wife.
Pre-nups get thrown out in court for any ridiculous reason.

OP, I'm the same way. Who you choose to marry is the most important decision you'll ever make in your life.

Make better choices in women and you won't have to think about what ifs

My psychic told me I'd get a divorce like my parents....

So marriage is not an option for me. You can still be with someone without having to marry.

What are you talking about lol?

You can call it insecurity if you want, but its being realistic.

Agreed. I see you've been following in the footsteps of John Chena holding firm against marriage with Titty Bella.

The issue is that most women want commitment (read: the ring, wedding, whole nine yards).

Yeah then the eff you over and take half your money. No thanks. I'll take the Cena route. Not putting a person over. Definitely not putting a marriage over.

I can understand why Cena's holding firm. I think he knows deep down that Titty Bella is in it to take half.

And he also went through a nasty divorce that he probably lost millions on. Smart not to repeat mistakes.

She definitely got the push if that's what she was aiming for. I'm ehh on Brie/DBry too (although they were together when DBry was still new to WWE).

I've heard horror stories about the army marriages and I'm really not surprised. Again, I think who you marry is the most important decision you'll make in your life. While I do think successful marriages can happen (my parents have been happily married for almost 30 years), the realist in me says it's not for me.
