Jordan Retro 8 "3 Peat" - October 2015

THESE LOOK REALLY GOOD TO ME.. NOT SOMETHING I WOULD COP THOUGH. AND THE SPIN ON THE TONGUE IS DOPE

. At first I was like where the hell is the carpet tongue. But the more I look at that logo, the more I like it.  In the long run, game time decision. With everything else coming out, JB is making it tough to pick up everything I like, or sort of like. Got to pick and choose wisely, for a no regret year. 
 
Joints is butt for 190 would cop on a deep discount (there'll prolly be many opportunities) but rather double on chromes
 
These and the rest of the 8's that are coming out this year are a cop! These 3-peat 8's are :nthat:
 
meh. I don't really like how they combined all the teams. it's alright. I wish they didn't use black on the heel. the sample tongue is cool but the real 8 tongue is classic and would have worked better with the 3 team theme. 1 color from each team in the 3 sections and another for the jumpman and circle would have been kinda cool. I would have probably copped a few years back when prices were somewhat down to earth. easy pass now
 
I like these but that sample tongue looks wack to me... the right colorblocking on the carpet would've made them even better

If the quality on these was applied to the '13 release of the Bug's, I'd have likely purchased several pairs and stepped away from sneakers all together...Too bad they didn't hold off on those until this whole re-master thing got going...

I could also say the same thing if the "Kobe's" ever actually released with this same type of craftsmanship...

They're dope but question. If they are the 3-peat 8's? Why aren't they black based seeing as how he wore black based shoes for all of his championships? Like i obviously see the colorway's from all first 3 peat sneakers but still just seems half assed to me

My thoughts on that is

Maybe since the aquas [black based] as well as the chrome 8s  Are coming out so close to this they wanted to switch it up

And if they were black they would resemble the phoenix suns 8s just a little

Although I do prefer the white based design of this shoe but that's just me.

More proof that they're digging through old sketches and using anything and everything they can find. That being said, these aren't half bad, not a fan of the tongue though.
 
I think the sample tongue sucks

Reminds me of the chris webber logo they used on the air max cw

Which reminds me i wish nike would get chris webber on board so they can retro the air max cw properly

on second look the tongue definitely should have stayed in the vault. at least not on this cw. back heel area should have been the same as the bugs bunnys. then I think these would have been fire. traditional tongue as well of course. they dropped the ball here, tried to do way too much with 1 shoe.
 
Maybe we'll get a 3-peat Jordan 13 in the future since he won a championship with the 11s 12s and 13s. You never know.. then maybe people would've wished they got this pair when that time comes
