Dunno. Todd talked about the scar and his brother, battling with obesity, etc. He "appears" to be genuine whereas Phil is straight up fake. Like when he's trying to impress people when they mention a movie or something and he's got like no clue.
So far, Todd hasn't pulled the ultimate douche (sp) bag move of saying his wife is dead, not mentioning there are other folks that are alive then when caught implies it was all a joke.

Phil let go of his human sensibilities a long time ago. Son is basically his own beast, that's why he's so awkward as opposed to the others who still held out some hope (they're clean cut, still socialize normal etc.)

Agreed! That's why I love this show. You can tell it was NOT created to be the type of show to super look into and analyze. My 2 favorite shows ever were LOST and Breaking Bad, and there was ALL KINDS of dissecting that could be done with them if the viewer wanted, and you would absolutely get more out of those shows by doing that instead of just watching them... but you could just watch them if you wanted.i agree. this is not the type of show to dissect. laughed out loud a few times this last episode.Show is hilarious

When you married a notary republic, yes!! And ultimately, marriage is a communion/union between a man, woman and God. That still exists in the world.
Granted, he didn't know there were other humans out there.
And, I personally think he was probably an abhorrent human being prior to the events. And if anything, we don't really know much about him.
