I've always been a Wale fan and bought his albums, but I didn't get this one on release day like I did with his last two. I was starting to lose faith. I wasn't one of those "Wale changed since joining MMG" people, but his last two albums didn't do anything for me. They were okay but had no replay value for me personally. It has never been the content, the content was always there. I just felt the songs (not all, but the albums as a whole) were mediocre.

After reading this thread and hearing some solid reviews I decided that I would buy the album and give him another shot and I'm glad I did. It's the first work of his that got regular play from me since Folarin. I feel the album is very well put together. The beats, the content, the creativity, and the songs overall just sound a lot better than his recent work. I like that he didn't use a lot of features too. I hate a bunch of rap features. The White Shoes, The Pessimist, Girls on Drugs, The Need to Know are the songs that have gotten the most play out of me so far.

I agree about songs with him and Jeremih being :pimp:
The Body should have been a lot bigger than it was. I feel it is/was slept on a lot. Maybe it was released too far ahead of the album, idk.

Job well done Wale. If anybody is reading and is skeptical about buying the album like I was, give him another shot.

Wale is back fam...

TAAN has gotten more spins from me than Kendrick, Drake, and Lupe.

Mostly stopped listening to him after Folarin.. Impeccable comeback.

I've been stuck on "The Success" and this album in general lately.

I love tracks like this, "Lord Knows" (Drake), and "Paradise" (Big Sean) where dudes that typically seem to place their focus on making the best song they can just hop on a bare, menacing instrumental and perform lyrical gymnastics.

Plus the Lupe shout out made me smile, because it's definitely reminiscent of his style.
