Who here generously does not listen to or cares for J. Cole

Definitely skilled, but after running through his albums when they first drop, I never have any desire to listen again.
 
Like some say, he is not the best at any thing, but neither is any other rapper. the overall package (pause) is what makes Cole that dude. Easily the most relatable rapper in the game.
Cole that dude.
 
FHD is a classic. His first and second projects were definitely conceptualized for mainstream appeal.

I didn't know that there were so many people not ******* with Cole.

It's strange because all of the OGs in the game, including folks like Nas and No Id, annoint him as the next cometh
 
I can see the skill but he generally does very little for me. Just kind of a non factor. 
 
He just generally comes off forced or insincere to me. He can flow and make beats. I dont **** with him though
 
Drake most definitely won. J Cole can rap... i think we all agree with that but his songs are so boring.
 
I like some of Cole's music he is just 1-dimensional sometimes, very predictable...

i have a handful of his songs but dude is boring and seems to suffer from low self esteem or something like that.
 
I've tried to listen to his albums, I have most of them. But it's usually just one play and that's it. Nothing of his really sticks in my mind.
 
Friday night lights was like some kind of smoke screen. Had me looking forward to whatever the hell sideline story was supposed to be. Born sinner made me tired.

fhd sounds like he's content with what he put out and couldn't care less, but you know what? it's what he needed.

But he's been steadily declining ever since
I was so excited for his debut album, and it was so ****** I haven't heard anything he's made since then
 
I respect Cole and his work alot but i think its time i stop lying to myself and realize ill never get the same feeling i got from listening to the warm/come up, Friday night lights for the first time. Ill probably continue to try with every project he puts out in hopes that i feel that feel again. Its kinda like heroin addiction, even though you know youll never get the same feeling as the first time you tried it but you continue to chase the dragon.

This is probably one of the few songs ive listened to from him more than once. That said, its basically a beta version of don't save her from project pat. Like project pat is saying don't save her in an angry "what the hell you thinking" kinda way. Coles is more like him whispering don't save her in your ear while he gives you a bro hug.

Cole been around now give or take 6 years... and I kid you not... NikeTalk has had a thread like this every single year.

Cole is NT's fav rapper to question or try to sway people opinions on.

He doesnt even get OD praise on here imo
