I've been collecting shoes for about 2 years now. I've been to numerous sneaker conventions in 3 fifteenth states, but I cannot seem to make any connections to more people. I have my couple of friends sure, but I have a friend who gets calls and group messages about new shoes and stuff like that. He also gets exclusive shoes early and some GRs for below retail. What am I doing wrong?

how do you know he's not getting some unauthorized pairs early ? seems fishy to me.

anyways these days plenty of sites will release most shoes you just need to know where to look. EU sites can be your best friend sometimes on hard to get releases. You really do not need a connect if you know where to cop from and when. Also doing a little leg work on shops in your area never hurts.

Well Said.

BTW.

I've been in this game probably twice your age.

Scoring multiple J's below retail is red flag city.

Crying about it on niketalk comes to mind. ..

2 Years is not a long time at all, so just know that its going to take time to get all the pairs that you want. I don't think any sneakerhead that comes on this site has every shoe that they want. You also have to ask yourself who are these people you are talking to and how important are they for you the get to the next level of "sneakerheadness"
