Lana is a good look for Rusev but the excessive Russian stuff is too much cheap heat that cheapens his appeal. Just make him be a badman that wants to crush the company and show off his brute force.

because Roman has been fed horrible promos and forced onto the fans by Vince instead of letting him get over naturally. it's like you having a kid and over time you see the kid you make him eat a pile of ****. of course he's gonna hate you when he sees you, you keep making him eat ****.

I think Luger was just so blatantly a replacement for Hogan that it turned some people off of him from the get go.
I was young during the time though I'm sure one of our senior citizen posters can shed some more light on it.

The problem is that Vince doesn't want cena looking "weak".. In Vinces mind cena has been squashed by lesnar, failed to bring down the authority, lost to Rollins multiple times.. So this is basically his redemption storyline
