Unfortunately still my only pair of 1s, but my god they are something else. Really. Besides the SBBs they're the only shoe (1s specifically) with leather that I've seen being compared to Banned-level (or close to it) previously.

That's the thing, people are confusing softness of leather with quality. Banneds and Lance Mountains have soft leather, but there is still a feeling of durability to it that I don't see in the chicagos. Don't have SBB's yet, but I assume it's similar to chicagos... really soft, but not on the same level of soft/durable that Banneds and LM's have. And who cares if the LM's have an SB tongue tag, as long as it isn't a jump man haha.

only way paint full wears off is if you purposely do it. i wear my black ones all the time and it still hasnt happened
