DISNEYLAND/DISNEYWORLD APPRECIATION!!! PUT IN UR ORDER FOR AN NT DISNEY SPIRIT JERSEY NOW!!!

thanks for the info!

you guys think there'll be a lot of people during the week of New Year's? or the weekend of New Year's?

yup, will probably be crazy. i usually go the week after new years and it's not too bad, plus all the decorations are still up

The week after new years, not so bad. The week in between Xmas and new years, very bad.

I've gone the week of New Years and it was a nightmare. All lines were two hour standby time.

I've learned to not go on the weekends anymore. Wednesday crew from now on.

Surprisingly, I heard this past summer the weekends were actually pretty light.

I'm thinking of going this weekend but only at night since Disneyland is actually open til midnight, maybe get in from 9-12 and hit up a few rides.

We went to DCA on a Saturday in July and i was surprised by how empty it was. It was our first time there. Lines were super short and not crowded.

^^ Have a great time!

thx mane

First time going for halloween,

Past two years Ive gone ha been thxgiving week.

Do villains come out for pics and etc during this time of year or the normal princesses?

are you going to the halloween party? during Mickeys halloween party there's a lot of photo stations with the villains and halloween characters. during the day i think it's just business as usual

have a good time man!

i should be heading down there in a few weeks

Unfortunately no only during the Mickey party

The typical Disney characters are in costume though.

Who i'd try and catch is Gaston in Fantasyland though.

I went to Disney this past summer for the first time ever, and it was tons of fun. I would love to go during Halloween or the Holidays. I'm sure it's so decked out with stuff. The work that goes into running that place is incredible. Watched some videos after I went about all of that, with the underground tunnels etc and was mind blown.

The Star Wars stuff was :smokin

After being in several theme parks and Disney is simply top notch. It's pricey but if you pay attention, it's really worth it.

I just came back from vacation and visited Busch Gardens and that place is a mess in comparison, maybe I am just spoiled but it is so unorganized, Just getting into rides, they pretty much tell you to better count your parties and set it up because there is no one going to direct you to anything. Place was dirty and the Halloween thing they have going on has no direction, you pretty much have to figure everything out yourself and it doesn't help that it was crazy crowded.

If you can't make it to Disney though and still want to check out decorations or any news/updates, MiceChats blog (updated every Monday) is a good read or even just a peak through how Disney looks: http://micechat.com/141958-disneyland-update-halloween-christmas/

Some ride descriptions in Pandora:

AVATAR Flight of Passage (FP+)

The crowning jewel of Animal Kingdom’s newest neighborhood, AVATAR Flight of Passage invites daredevils to take a scenic trip to Pandora on the backs of a flying Mountain Banshee. The intense journey takes place in a cutting-edge, simulator-like environment and offers much more than a thrill a minute. Guests are treated to a bird’s-eye view of all the sights, sounds, and smells of the majestic moon that the Na’vi call home.

A high-flying “E-Ticket” experience, Flight of Passage is a most realistic, immersive experience. It is not recommended for guests with motion sensitivity, heart conditions, fear of heights, or any other physical issues. This experience is quite popular, book a Fastpass+ assignment if you can.

Na’Vi River Journey (FP+)

A musical voyage into Pandora’s bioluminescent forest, this trip is as calm and family-friendly as they come. The adventure begins as guests board canoes and venture down a mysterious, sacred river hidden within the rainforest. The grandeur of Pandora is revealed as canoes float past exotic glowing plants and an array of amazing creatures, include native humanoids known as Na’vi. The journey culminates in an encounter with a Na’vi shaman, who has a deep connection to the life of Pandora and sends positive energy into the forest with her music. Na’vi River Journey is generally appreciated by guests of all ages (through timid tykes who are spooked by darkness may find parts of this expedition unsettling).

Update on going to Disneyland & CA for the Halloween party last Wednesday....

Spent the first half of the day at CA and it was the same old. Took my 2 yr old son to ride Monster's inc, some of the rides in Cars Land & Bugs Life. Wasn't busy at all which was good. Only gripe was that it was hot...95 degrees. I don't know what it is but we always tend to go when it's hot out. I did see Nick Lachey and his Wife, Vanessa and their kids. They were in the Cars Land store and Vanessa asked me if I was in line. Lol. Then they later sat near us at Smokejumpers Cafe.

Around 5pm we headed over to Disneyland to get ready for the Halloween Party. They give you bracelets, candy bags, a map of where the candy stations are, and a flyer showing info and times of the parade, fireworks, characters, etc...the park was decorated with a Halloween theme obviously and it was super cool.

Around this time, they start to announce that the park will be closing at 6pm and I could see the "Wteffff" faces on some of the people there cuz they had no idea what was going on. Felt kinda bad but funny at the same time. Lol. Right at 6, the workers set rope off areas in the different parts of the park trying to usher people out who didn't buy tickets for the Halloween party. If you are trying to get to a certain area or ride, etc...they see if you have a bracelet. If you have one, you are good to go.

My son dressed up as Woody and we hit up the candy stations throughout the park. It was pretty cool cuz workers were giving away candy and diff. treats to adults/kids with bags. It was cool to see kids dressed up and some adults were dressed up as well. The best part was being able to go on rides with no lines. My son loves the Small World ride and we just walked straight to the front. We could've went a 2nd time but opted to walk around. We saw a couple Disney character dressed up which my son loved and was going crazy. At around 8:30-9pm, they start the parade. We were on Main St and waited on a bench right in the front for about 1.5 hours so we can get a nice view. And having a 2 yr old wait for that long did not make things easy. The parade finally started and it wasn't what I expected. I was expecting Disney characters dressed up in Halloween costumes but it was mainly Disney villains and people in costumes like the headless horseman, etc... So my son wasn't really into it because he didn't recognize any characters. Even though I was let down by the parade, I knew the fireworks would be next but it was cancelled due to weather conditions (slight winds). So that was again, a bummer. The last 3 times we've gone to Disneyland, they cancelled the fireworks.

Would I do the Halloween party again? Probably. My son loved it and that's all that matters to me. Next time, I'll skip the parade and ride more rides and try to see more Disney characters. I bought one of those autograph books for my son

Nice!

Good to hear your son enjoyed it.

Sucks about the parade and fireworks though.

I assume you didn't catch the Frozen show at DCA?

Dope! It's always a good time when your little one has a blast

Didn't get the chance to check out Frozen. I'll try to catch a fastpass the next time we go. It's just difficult having to wait in lines with a 2 year old. I know plenty of parents do it, but I just can't. Lol. I did however try the turkey leg for the first time. Ate half of it then tapped out.

Having a season pass makes things LESS stressful when we go. Like...we are not forced to hit up every ride or show to get our money's worth. Now, We can take our time and if we can't go on a ride or watch a show, I can try again next time. Looking forward to going in December when the Christmas decor is up.

Yah, having an AP is nice, no rushing and you can come and go. Just renewed and updated to the CA AP, it'll be nice to be able to go on some Sundays but really wish it included free parking though.

Complete Guide to Festive Eats at New Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure Park

Recently, Erin Glover shared the exciting news that Festival of Holidays is coming to Disney California Adventure park, bringing with it new marketplaces filled with festive eats and treats inspired by holiday cultural comfort foods.

yup, i've been an AP holder for about 7 years now and it's definitely nice to do as much or as little as you want and not feel rushed or like you're missing out.

there's been times when me and my lady have gone and it's packed, so we literally got on 2-3 rides and just walked around are and people watched

Had fun last week going.

Couldn't get a pic with Jack skellington though.

Everytime I would go over, they stopped letting people join the line due to capacity smh

I would show up 20-30 mins before his scheduled time and they're like NOPE, no more sorry.

Had my jack shirt on for nothing. lol, I said F it and went on with my day.

Went Wed-Fri on halloween week, wasn't too busy at all.
Friday was a little more busy, but still not bad at all.

Need to hit Universal up next, haven't been since they've added Harry Potter and Walking Dead.

^ ^ ^

Harry Potter World in Universal Studios just added warm ButterBeer!

Gonna gotta go back just for that
