Nice, so they have the snow at night now, what time did it start?

It was between 6:30-7pm. I asked one of the workers what time they would do the snow and she said 7:30pm but luckily we were chillin on Main St getting some candy and it happened. Wanted to stay for the fireworks but it was getting cold for the lil' one so we bounced.

Defintely try and go.

After reading through this thread, i'll be asking my two best friends to go this summer. it's looking like we are going to have at least $2,000 for expenses of plane tickets and to room for a week. Coming from Massachusetts. So i may need to bring $1,000 to live down there for a week to just eat, buy souvenirs, and party.

I've never been on a plane before and the farthest i've been to is Virginia.

U going to Disneyland or disneyworld????

Also pic from the food and wine festival

A lemonade with like lavender or some flower In it
Bacon and maple whoopie pie
And fried artichoke chips with aioli sauce
Take more pics tomorrow of the food

13th Hour dessert party announced for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror’s final days at Disney California Adventure

As the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror approaches its final days at DCA (before being replaced by Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT!), Disney has announced an exclusive after-hours dessert party for guests who want an opportunity to spend one last evening with the popular ride.

The “13th Hour” event will take place on January 1st, 2017, just one day before the west coast’s Tower of Terror closes its elevator doors for the very last time. The party begins at 10:00 PM and runs until 1:00 AM and includes access to the original “lights-on” version of the ride, a dessert buffet with beverages, performances by the fabulous Silver Lake Sisters, and access to exclusive merchandise.

Tickets are $95 per person, and guests are encouraged to dress in their “finest Hollywood Golden Age style. Fedoras for the gents and hats with veils for the ladies.”

exclusive access on merchandise = you have exclusive access to BUY more merchandise (not free)

there's also another night time event....

Main Street Electrical Parade Premiere

Disneyland welcomes home The Main Street Electrical Parade on January 20, 2017 with nightly performances planned through Sunday, June 18.

If you want to be among the first to enjoy the legendary parade, which first left Disneyland Park in November 1996 and at Disney California Adventure in 2010, Disney is offering a separate-ticket premiere event on Thursday evening, January 19.

The after-hours event will also offer ticket holders exclusive access to select Disneyland attractions and restaurants from 7:30 to midnight.

A ticket to the Main Street Electrical Parade Premiere gives you:

Admission to Disneyland Park from 7:30 PM to midnight
Viewing of the parade
Collectible event credential
Red carpet welcome
Access to most park attractions
A 70s dance party at Tomorrowland Terrace
Special Disney PhotoPass locations
Complimentary Disney PhotoPass downloads
Complimentary parking at Mickey & Friends Parking Structure after 6:00 PM

Dance to the Max
Because we’re taking you back to the 70s, period attire is encouraged. So patch those bell bottoms, shine your platform shoes and be ready to boogie!

Be among the first Guests to purchase commemorative Main Street Electrical Parade merchandise at select shops. And if you get hungry, food, beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at select locations.

Annual Passholders may buy tickets for this event in person at the Disneyland Resort or order by phone.

General ticket sales begin December 13, 2016. Tickets for adults and children ages 3 and older are $95.00 per person (admission ticket is not required for children under 3).

i hope they've at least updated the food at Disney World. When i went a few years ago it was basically chicken fingers and corn dogs everywhere

epcot had some awesome food though

Epcot food is good but pricy as hell for a decent meal

Tiffins was really good but also the most expensive. It costs more than Carthay Circle at DCA which I think is good but overpriced

I find the food in Disney from good to great but yeah definitely pricey.

Like the Food Festival at DCA are good but they are spread all over the park and all are like appetizer portions and if you want to try everything, $200 might not be enough for each person.

But in comparison to other parks, I do think Disneys is the best. 6Flags and Busch Gardens food blows and Universals is good but nothing great and they're just about as pricey.

Came back from the Disney Cruise. Simply amazing. Everything a kid could want. I was very impress with the food. Probably the best I've eaten at a buffet. And I don't like buffets.

The dining experience was like no other. Activities for the kids, adult and family was overwhelming. There were all ages from babies to tweens to teens to grandparents without kids.

This truly was a family trip. I advise anybody who has smaller kids to take this Cruise. All the characters, movies (Dr. Strange, Mona was playing for free), activities, food, games, musicals, etc was well worth the price.

I have heard nothing but great things about the Disney Cruise, I want to go but I don't have kids and i think that might just be too creepy

I don't have any kids either :wow:

I will say, though, that there are nearly as many yambs on the Disney cruise as there are at Disneyland. That was the only downside.

Where'd you go? I was on the Disney Dream a couple of weeks ago, and yes it was amazing

4 days/3 nights to the Bahamas and Castway Cay on the Disney Dream.

We sail a boat out to almost the ocean to snorkel. About 50 feet under. We also did Parasailing.

Honestly there were a lot of couples that came with kids. Also, a lot of single people. In fact, we made friends with a couple that take 2 Disney cruises a year. Next year we are planning a trip with them for Halloween.

There's a bunch of activities strictly for 21+ and singles only.

It's more spread out with the rides that are basically the same with the exception of a few that WDW has that DL doesn't and vice versa:

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Magic Kingdom)
Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom)
People Mover (Magic Kingdom)
Mission Space (Epcot Center)
Indiana Jones is a show and not a ride
WDW does not have Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Space Mountain at WDW is by and large inferior to Hyperspace Mountain at DL

There's a few rides that are similar in experience but different in name or layout:

Test Track (Epcot Center) is similar to Radiator Springs Racers
Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios) is similar to California Screamin'
Tower of Terror is a way better experience at WDW and it's not a photopass picture, it's a movie which is :smoking

Disney Springs is WDW's version of Downtown Disney, it has more in selection in terms of shops because it's much larger but for some reason I still prefer Downtown Disney even though there is a Cirque De Soleil at Disney Springs.

Transportation is not great at WDW. The monorail constantly goes down and the buses take several minutes to get onto, which is the norm considering they have to cover something like 7 sq. miles

Tbh, Epcot Center is the only reason I would continue to go back to WDW. I can get everything I need at DL that I could at WDW, but DL's fireworks show Believe is superior to WDW's Wishes.

Just got back from DL after 3 days this weekend. It was as busy on Saturday as it was on Christmas Day last we went.
Indy was shut down most of the day which is expected now a days.
Tower of terror had a 120 min wait all day and fast passes were done by 12
Cars is the same. Stupid busy.
They have the new festival at Disneyland where they have little pagodas set up serving food and booze. Portions were tiny but pretty good.

Def taking a year off from going (we average twice a year). Once the renovation on guardians is done and Star Wars opens, it'll be amazing

Currently on the shuttle to Disneyland.

Would definitely pay for preferred parking.

I got two kids still in stroller. Glad I dropped them off.

I'll figure out going home when I come to that bridge.

This new parking garage situation is a nightmare.

Really?

I heard preferred parking just gets you to park closer to the escalators and that is it.

Where did you park?

Nah don't pay for it. Do what I do, when the parking attendant points you to a spot just say you're trying to leave for whatever reason, then once you're passed him hunt for a spot closer to the walkway. 60% of the time it works 100% of the time :pimp:

 I got to try that one of these days but I am not sure what the new set-up is with the preferred parking and metal detectors right there before jumping into the trams.

Also, I was going to go today but I read that it was suppose to rain and I am usually alright with that so that there aren't many lines but it's been pretty cold (yes, high 50s and low 60s are freezing to us here in SoCal  ) so I decided not to go.

I tried something similar to that during summer when they were trying to fill spots on the roof before letting people into the lower covered levels. Park my car on roof during hot summer day is a no from me, so I went back down circled around and they just opened the covered (thinking donald) level. Parked 10 spots from escalators. :pimp:

Now with preferred parking not sure if that will happen.

Also I feel like the metal detectors will jam up the lines to get on the tram because they take up so much time with searching and its going to take so long to get in downtown disney.
