It feels like the clippers cant go higher than this...
That's what I'm saying. I can't see a move unless it's a blockbuster that would elevate them past a younger GS team.
they are in between because you dont want to blow it up but you know its nothing else they can do as far as results. they have lots of potential but you dont really know when it will materialize

The Clippers could still win this series

Its not easy to acquire assets that would be comparable to arguably the best point guard in the NBA, the 2nd best power forward, and a top 5 center

They need more help

Here's @teamziller on the lesson the Clippers should take from the Spurs http://www.sbnation.com/2015/4/29/8513255/spurs-clippers-game-5-nba-playoffs-2015-future

Interesting take on why the Clips shouldn't break up their core. Makes some good points.

Just got finished reading this an hr ago. I agree with this 100%.

Anytime you have a team that has relatively young core consistently winning upwards of 55 games a year, eventually things are going to fall your way. We're really strapped as far a improving the roster anyway, but with a DJ / CP3 / Blake core you aren't getting better than that. And they are all young. People's reluctance to acknowledging luck has people saying the Clips should blow this up.

Teams get lucky. If the Clips can keep this core for as long as possible, eventually they'll breakthrough, if not this year.

Exactly. you can see it's not a lack of talent, it's all the mental breakdowns they've had this series. Something that only experience can teach. If cap space will be a problem, one thing they could do better is draft smarter (Not sure how many picks they have atm) and develop young talent. That's what SA has been doing the past 15+ years.

Yes. Coming up short year after year while your good players age and lose value isn't smart either. Unless they can retool to make a legit run why be satisfied with round 1 or 2 loses?

So if the Wiz don't win the ECF or Finals within 2 years, you going to be in favor of trading Wall and Beal and starting over?

Will always be funny

Its just one of those things for the Clippers. The playoffs are about matchups and it just sucked that they ended up with the Spurs. I don't think that means blow it up, though.

Like, even I agreed with the notion that this team has reached it's ceiling, I'm from the school of thought to just keep pushing and maybe you get a break and breakthrough.

Because at the end of the day, when you factor in age, ability, you aren't getting better than CP3, Blake, and DJ. I'll just roll the dice with them. You keep retooling around them, but you don't give them away or trade them. Maybe if they were older or declining, but that's a few years away.

Not to mention, they still could win this series.

They are much younger than the Clippers core. Beal is 21. It's not even close to the same situation age wise or conference wise.

When teams make the playoffs the further they advance, the larger share of a pool of cash set by the league they receive. Its essentially a bonus, and when a team gets one, EVERYONE is supposed to get a share.

Quick article about it from the 2013 NBA Finals.

But your team mates get to vote in whether or not you get a share and the Mavs voted that he not get one
