This might sound crazy to some people, but since I was a teenager (many moons ago) - possibly even before that - I've never liked wearing different athletic brands at the same time. For instance, if I'm wearing Nike shoes, I only like to wear Nike sweats. The only exception would be something that doesn't have a visible logo on it. Maybe it's OCD-ish, but it just seems weird/corny to me.
This rule doesn't really apply to non-athletic brands. For instance, I don't care about wearing a Supreme tee, Bape hoodie, with a pair of Nike sweats mixed in. But throw in a pair of ASICS and it just doesn't work for me. Honestly, over the past few months, I've kind of felt this is stupid and not that big a deal (in relation to clothing issues; obviously, mixing and matching clothing is NOT an "important" issue, so please don't start with those kind of comments... thanks!), but I still find myself unable to mix athletic brands. It mainly is annoying when I want to go running, as I have a lot of ASICS runners but zero ASICS pants/shirts. Besides that, all runners look great with Nike Tech Fleece, so it would be nice to be comfortable rocking some GLV's with my Tech Fleece sweats.
Anyways, am I alone in this preference, or do you guys feel similar? I wonder if it's something that's more prevalent with 80's babies like myself, whereas younger kids don't really care about mix-matching. I do see a lot of younger celebrities mixing brands all the time. Come to think of it, I've seen some older cats doing it too, but mainly cats that were born in the 70's or older...
