Anyone ever buy a car on Craigslist? Vol. Return of the Lucky Luchiano Car Thread

um my jetta was a 2012 it wasnt a base either

why would i be talking about a 04?

the current have a new engine i know a lot about vws and ppl in the community as i am a big VAG fan (volkswagen automotive group), like i said go to vw vortex.....the engine i had was very reliable prob the most reliable as far as VWs, now if you get a new one they are turbos again and new engine an you should check out forums first, how long do you plan on keeping this car and like i said a base jetta will not hold value at all, youre coming from a camry to a vw an im sure you dont wanna deal with maintenance either youre not even a car guy lucky

its your money though bro, you literally spend hundreds a month as a foodie and you go hard on supplements

youre better off getting a used honda than a new jetta base model imo

I`ll keep that in mind, I found a 2014 SE Camry with 15k on dash for the price of the Jetta. Camrys are cool but the 2012 I had had a ton of recalls , so to me Toyota has been kinda slacking.

yea Hondas are dope, but I literally dont care about cars and 2013 Hondas are going for more than Camrys and VWs new lol. This will be a daily driver, I`m not concerned about Resale, I just want something to get me to work and back, dont care about power or none of that stuff, literally just need bluetooth and something that drives.

New and old, hell knew a chick who had a '14 and it was always in the shop for something. Ask around, they aren't good cars.

Like I said my old roommate has a 2012 or 2013 joint with no issues, and he put like 50-60k on it with no issues. I`m going to be driving like 1/4th of that.

im telling you i went from vw to honda for a reason but lucky is gonna lucky

how much you spend on food a month big boy? srs question, spend a lil extra get you a honda an forget about a base VW srs

im tryna help you out but im only givin you opinion, also do not buy baby blue again

There shouldn't be any issues on a 2 year old car with 50k-60k miles on it, any kind of car. If you are thinking of dropping $15k you need to think long term. And a car people are telling you depreciates quick and has maintenance issues, those are serious issues when thinking in the long term. You could spend half that easy, if all you want is a car that will go a few years and 50k-60k with no issues.

I Just talked to dude at the Toyota Dealership, so I`m gonna hit them up after I leave work early tomorrow, and true all cars pretty much handle good during the first 5 yrs.

And Al Audi, this is a silver Camry lol I only copped sky blue last time because it was cheapest.

You're a pretty big dude. I would've assumed you wanted something bigger and more masculine like a pickup or an FJ cruiser or something.

Man I`ll drive a beetle if its free, I give no damns about cars lol. I have a career and a girl so I`m not trying to impress anyone, just need to get from point A to B with no issues.

Plenty of ppl got careers and a spouse. It's just one of those things you're not into.

You need to find two or three cars you would like and do some serious research on each and compare the pros and cons. Like go on the forums, read reviews. Check every site, craigslist, ebay, cars.com, kbb, local listings and see the actual selling price range so when you go in the dealership you will know what you are looking at. Honestly you're gonna look like food to those dealership salesmen. Never trust lawyers, mechanics or car salesmen.
