Am I missing something???
Why are Lakers fans puffing they chest out?? I mean I understand the whole big city able to attract FAs ( even tho they haven't been able to the last few years) but....
LA Prolly going to the spurs...
Cousins is not a lock...
Marc already said no to LA..
So all this confidence is coming from Russell and a washed Kobe???
Welp!@ChrisMannixShow Mike Malone on coaching daughter's team: "Most fun I've had...knew owner wasn't going to fire me because I wasn't playing style he wanted."

People putting words in our mouths is the issue.
I, personally, am excited because we managed to keep our pick, and it turned into a rather excellent pick at that. We also managed to add young potential elsewhere on the roster that could benefit us down the line. Much like Kobe, Fisher, Farmar, Bynum, Sasha, Ariza all grew into useful pieces during title runs.
All that youth = cheap labor.
Then we have 23 mil to spend this year.
And 25+ mil, on top of another 20+ in cap jumping.
We could "potentially" add 3 max guys over two years, then go over the cap when needed to extend our young guys. (Randle, Russell, Clarkson, etc). That's how you build a deep, talented team to make runs with.
Ready to compete in 12 months? No, probably not.
In position to be a true threat to assemble a potentially great future in 12 months? (July 1, 2016). Yes, probably a real good chance.
That is reason for optimism. But I speak only for myself, not all Laker fans.

Malone is a good coach, too. I hope he gets another shot soon.

Mudiay RoyMudiay & Nurkic gonna flourish under him.
Everyone is always so mad at us

I need cliffs on whether rck has legitimately converted to a Lakers fan or not
Nurkic could ball.
Rck is a top 140 nt free agent, of course we're interestedEveryone is always so mad at us

I thought the Lakers didn't want you.

No prob. No, he hasn't. Basically, with respect to his Kings' fandom, Rck is like that person who gets worshiping-the-porcelain-god drunk and then swears off drinking forever. It lasts a couple weeks maybe - at best - then he's out drinking again. He can't quit those Kings. Especially for the Lake Show.
Can't believe uI knew he was a phony.
