Foot and back.
Godspeed to Embiid but I think we're just calling what is likely with Embiid, and its highly likely, his career ends how it began

throw in the fact that he's unable to do much in terms of learning the game now, just watching. He was a huge project to begin with. Lots of valuable time passing him by

Sucks

Lost tens/hundreds of millions of dollars in potential earning.

he was just throwing it between his legs a couple months ago, he can bounce back from another foot surgery

its not like he has knee problems

Do you realize his foot injury has forced people to retire and never reach their potential?
so that means its bound to happen to him?

No but you can't say "He was just dunking. Yeah this is sometimes a career ending injury but did you see that dunk a few months ago?! He'll be straight"
Yep it makes him someone to be cautious over. He could be Big Z and still have a solid career (not as good as it could've been however) or he could be Yao and retire way too early.

so we're saying because he dunked a couple of months ago, he'll be ok?

Alvin Gentry dunked a couple of months ago to.

Its about him being able to run up and down that court, putting more stress on that foot and back.

We're using a dunk as a reason why he's gonna be alright?

The biggest concern is can he dunk, block shots, run, rebound and defend for an 82 game season. Odds aren't in his favor.

Throwing it between his legs is something he will be able to do when he's 30.

That is not the same as playing 82 games while running 10+miles per game with hard cuts and such.

Yea, totally not the same.

It has nothing to do with work ethic when you're physically damaged. He's suffered a devastating foot injury twice and has had back issues. Someone that size with those ailments isn't in the best position to succeed.

Best case Big Z which would be great at this point. 13 year career with respectable numbers. Worst case, early retirement. Hopefully it's the former but I wouldn't expect much either way.

youngwolf is cool AF.
one of the dudes on here that calls it like it is. Better then all the pretend to be nuetral / undercover lj riders.

Broke the navicular bone twice, has had back and knee injuries in the past, is seven feet and his body hasn't been able to withstand the rigors of basketball, but ok. Gonna rep you for that optimism.
