Official OVO x JB Thread

Also you guys do realize the ladies already wear and like 10s, 7s, 1s (mids mostly), 5s/6s ... Tomorrow while you''re out you'll notice liberties/verdes/double nickles a plenty on the ladies -- so a light colored 10 with a celebrity collaboration who is clear about them as a part of the fan base is a no brainer which is why I wasn't surprised from how many women peeps were hitting me up about this release.

That's worse. They will overpay no problem for OVOS lol

Alp is also forgetting not just drake name but jordan brand (no **** right) It will raise though. Just off the collab factor. Really the ovo brand is just in its infant stage as far as fashion.
YZY SZN 1 is trash and overpriced, yet kids will still buy into the hype because he's Kanye. Although Drake is popular, he is definitely nowhere near Kanyes level right now. OVO clothing is decent, but no one wants it. And any OVO collab with Jordan will still never reach RO prices.

What are these going for now a days. I wanna copp them but dont want to overpay.
1. Shoes will more or less be acquired for free.

2. It's a lot to those who don't have the means. I can't imagine spending $30,000 on Eminem 4's because I don't have the means to do so. I know a collector with 2 pairs that he purchased. I think $4,500,000 is a lot for a car. Didn't the Lamborghini Veneno sell all 3 coupes instantly? I don't have the means to justify paying that much for a car but to someone who can afford it, it's nothing to them. It's not my job to count their pockets.

3. $30,000 in kicks right here boss. He can afford it, I can't. Some people can afford things that others can't.

Sneakers ain't my problem, Dawg.....

I'm approaching 400....... Every last pair for box price. But that's an accumulation of well over a decade. I know at the end of the day that's still a ridiculous amount of money to spend on shoes. But ain't no man out here attention worth me spending $4,000 on a single pair of Jordans. And 99.9 % of females out here don't give a **** bout an Oregon 4. You got millionaires out here that ain't spending money on the dumb **** you talm' bout & have gone on record stating that.

I hope for all them Geez you giving to resellers, you putting the equivalent in a mutual fund or something.... [emoji]128527[/emoji]

"Geez I'm giving to the resellers"? I'M THE RESELLER! I'M THE ONE WHO HAD 11 PAIR OF OVO 10's! If I tell you I bought a pair from a reseller, understand I had 10+ pairs for sell just not my size. You pay box price, congrats. I get the majority of my shoes for free. Box price is too expensive. And you taking about females recognizing Oregon 4's? Do you buy shoes to impress females? I don't. I don't even wear Jordan's. Most of my J's are DS. I wear Roshe's.

You totally overlooked my point. Because they're not spending money on these items doesn't mean they're not capable. If I get a pair of $4,000 shoes for free, trust me, it's cuz I was able to afford it one way or another. My only vice is shoes. I don't buy anything else. I'm 29 with no kids, home owner, car owner, decent paying wage, 800 credit score, etc. I tend to treat myself to nice shoes every now and then. No, I can't afford $4,000 shoes out of pocket but I can afford them when they're free.

The concept of getting shoes for free because you used resell dollars to pay for them is silly. Money is fungible, if you spend 4k on a shoe that's 4k less you have to spend elsewhere.

It comes down to priorities/perception of value. If you're cool dropping stacks on a pair, you obv find it worthwhile. For me, even if I won the lotto I'd never drop anywhere close to a stack on any pair of shoes. I'm guessing sneakermane is the same way.

Neither perspective is right or wrong but I do think one is more balanced/within reason. But to each their own.

We can speculate on price before and after 10/3 all we want. I think most who own a pair will agree the quality of the shoe is better than expected. I own (2) pairs and the quality has been spot on. The leather is good quality and not some cheap retro crap that some Jordan releases have been accustomed to.

I missed out on the initial RD. Didn't get called for a raffle I definitely need these in rotation.

My Fav is:

"I'm The Biggest Drake Fan, Why Can't I Get These?!"

Second Rd isn't confirmed. Might not happen at all or only on a few euro spots
Flight 23 in Chicago is opening up near me come October. Supposedly there are going to be some of the OVOs restocking. I just have high hopes in getting these lol.

I picked up my pair today, coming from Toronto these were a must. Managed to pick it up at a decent price as well ($490 US, local). Quality is overall pretty good I gotta say.

People are fooling themselves. No one is going to drop crazy bread on these when they will yellow super fast. The time to get high prices was in the very beginning.

If dude wants to spend 4k on kicks who cares. His money. You guys are tripping out over his spending ya 4ks alot but not that much he collects collections need master pieces. I wouldn't do it in my current situation but if I hit the lotto sure. He making the money off resell so it ain't no biggy like it's free.

It's time to kick a lil knowledge. There are levels to this shoe collecting hobby. There are normal shoe buyers who buy GR shoes that come out. That's about 99% of all shoe collectors/"sneaker heads". Then there's that other 1% that collect on a whole different level. I'm not exactly expecting y'all to understand simply because you guys are in the 99%. Examples:

^XX8 Days Of Flight Jordan's are 1 of 1's. This guy has 11 pairs of the 28 made. He's went around and purchased each pair between $8000-$10,000. What's $8,000 × 11?

I can keep going with this. There's a level of sneaker collecting that isn't meant for everybody. If you have kids or make less than $50,000 a year, YOU BETTER NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING A PAIR OF $800+ SHOES! That doesn't apply to me so I can do what I want. Y'all are going back and forth with me about a $4,000 shoe not knowing I own multiple shoes that are $1000+...

I make less then $500 a year and drop 800+ on kicks

Edit: 50000 a year, **** in nyc a homeless person could make 500 in a day if they put their heart to it

You act like buying shoes takes skill all it takes is money

Also those shoes only cost as much because idiots pay that thinking they better than the general stuff that's released the same sweatshop worker that made my Chicago 1s makes those Eminem 4s

takes skill to purchase them at a lower price point aka retail. Anyone can drop resell but as per the whining in this thread people don't want to, whether they got it or not

My God you guys are something else. No, I did not make it seem like there is a skill to buying shoes my man. People are blowing their tops that I said I'm trying to buy a pair of $4,000 shoes. To them that's outrageous. To collectors who are in that 1% of "super" collecting so to speak, it's normal. I was more or less showing that my lil $4,000 shoes fall short to many other collectors who got $$$. Then I was stressing the issue that it's hard to fathom spending that much on a pair of kicks if you aren't capable of doing it the same way I personally can't fathom spending $4,000,000 on a Lamborghini because I can't do it.
