So I'm working on a new short film and I really can't find the answer to this question. I want the scene to be as authentic as possible but I have no idea how it's done. After working at a place like mcdonald's or a small restaurant and it's time to transfer the money to the bank. Does the employee put it in a bag? suit case? shoebox?

I honestly have no idea and I feel stupid

If anyone has ever had this job, please give me some advice. Thank you!

In my experiences, the register is usually verified (counted) for any variances, and then some amount of it is put in a bank deposit bag while there rest usually goes into a safe.

Hope this helps.

Register is counted and put into a deposit bag
View media item 1604415Record of the bag is logged in the store system, Deposit bag is put into the safe and awaits to be picked up by armed transportation (brinks and such) to be taken to the bank. Brinks (or whatever armed transportation company rep) and the manager who gives them the bag(s) both sign papers that said bag has been picked up.

you start every day with a balance of X amount. say, 300 dollars. everything gets counted for and the rest put in the bag
bag is then put into the safe deposit for pick up
at one of my place, we would put the till in another safe just in case someone breaks in

Interesting...i'll need to figure out where I can get these or the restaurant that i'm shooting at might already have some. i'll have to ask
at my old bank we used this ( ours wasnt this festive. just brown)
nice! haha at least no one knows there's a lot of money inside

You can get deposit bags at staples. Just buy a pack take a few and return the rest for your money back.

I might have one of those bags laying around as I used to do this for a christmas tree company

I'll have to take a look tomorrow in the garage. I'll hit you up if i do.

We recently did a huge cleanup so i have to see if i have my binder still
