Supreme x Air Jordan Retro V (White, Black, and Desert Camo)

I'm not talking about the shoe that's on display. I'm saying if you're like "let me try these in a size 12 boss" and he pulls out some size 12 Oreo 4's. You try them on but they fit a little big so he brings you an 11.5 and you buy that pair instead. The next person who comes in and buys those 12's  doesn't get a discount because they were "tried on" and who knows home boy coulda been running laps in them. At least with me they are brand new and I take extra care lol.
I know, but the guy asked if he would get a discount. Only way he would get a discount on a tried on shoe is if it's the display pair. Any shoes from the back, unless they hella worn, will not grant him a discount.

I would... Make sure they have some way to prove they are legit
They're a pair from Nike, so he hasn't received them yet.

He did send me a pic of his Nike order confirmation though.

Obviously I'd write all the details in the PayPal notes, but anything above and beyond I should do to protect myself?

Why would you get a discount on the display pair?

$425 for a camo size 10 shipped to Canada

should i jump on it?
If they're real, yeah. Ya gotta be careful tho, a lot reps are out there. These are flying for $700 on FC so be cautious.

Legit check and ask questions, keep it documented. Assuming you're buying from ebay, the seller taking a massive loss from ebay fees, paypal fees, and then shipping to Canada (hate customs). That's a heavy loss for very little profit. Seems shady.

oh okay, No  you should be good.  If  you were to get them and they were to be fake all you could do is file a paypal complaint

Why would you get a discount on the display pair?
Because those tend to be dirty and show wear. They won't sell you the display pair unless it's the last one and if they show wear you can get a discount. They count it as a defect. Not much of a discount tho and that's only IF the wear is very visible soles are very dirty.

They're on Grailed, so there's no fees except PayPal.

The pair is from Nike so the seller hasn't received them yet. He did send a pic of the order confirmation from Nike though.

I did ask a ton of questions regarding the shoes/transaction and they are documented.

Get it. I guess last piece of advice would be to make sure you DO NOT gift him the money.

They will at some point. Orders got canceled like 1 of my multiple orders. Heads up for those with children. NO PART OF YOUR INFO CAN BE THE SAME NOW WITH NIKE. Not the same email, name, phone or address. Before, as long as if payment and address was different, they let you order multiples. Now, they canceled an order cuz I paid with paypal credit which had the same email address, but all other info was different. Did get a 20% off code though
They told you this? Or this is just based on your experience

I dont care what anyone says, NOTHING CAN MATCH IF YOU'RE BUYING MULTIPLES.

now any info you used on that cancelled pair is banned (besides name)
both of my pairs shipped

same shipping and billing address, same name, different payment methods, different emails

I've worked as an auditor for a big 4 firm and have a job lined up at the CME, so i am a business major. 10% interest on an investment is a good return, so that $450 would turn into 495, then the second year add 545. Sure, could take that money and put it in yeezys, but I think as someone already pointed out, if you seriously need the money for the next flip, you're in the wrong business. The "smart business move" would be to hang onto these and buy the yeezys and make good returns on them both. It's not, or shouldn't be, one or the other

i feel like a major douche acting as if this is a buisness, but to say it's the "smart business move" to sell these now is just wrong, unless of course all you have is the money for one release. To bring up the "time value of money" as to why you'd take the $450 now just doesn't make sense to me, but I do have enough in the bank to buy multiple releases, so maybe that's why.

also, i should note, I don't flip anything. I buy shoes to enjoy them, but, as a "businessman", i couldn't keep my mouth shut seeing someone throw around the time value of money and why it's smart to flip these fast... it's not.

One transaction kills the market? Get outta here bro the going rate on them will be the same whether I sell them for $700 or for $200. I'm not tight on money I'd just rather have it now than wait a year for them to go up maybe $200 in price. I can use that $450 right now to invest in other things to make me money rather than having a pair of shoes sit around. Maybe you should read up on how to invest. Time is money bruh.

Did I say YOU kill the market? I said people like you. Point is, the market is lower because people like you look for a quick flip and list below what they should be and because of that, everyone rushes to lower their prices.

And you clearly said I "needed" the money meaning you have other priorities, not to "invest" in other things.

Well I disagree. I don't think waiting 2 years to make an extra 2 to 3 hundred is worth it.

Well it doesn't seem like the majority of people are going to stop selling for the lower price to get a quick flip anytime soon so I'm just going with the flow of the market.

Yea I did need the money to fix my car I need 2 new tires and they're like 400 bucks. Me saying I could use that $450 to reinvest in yeezy boosts was an example.

Copped. Thanks!

Made sure to write this in the PayPal notes (as much as I could fit in their 250 character limit):
