Are you referring to South Carolina?

Drevno isn't being contact for either of those two positions.

Love the shenanigans of the Pac 12, their stupid requirement of every team playing a Friday game and playing a Thursday game along with insisting on keeping the 9 game conference schedule.

Sadly it's going to take a few years of missing the CFB playoffs for the pac 12 to realize, holy ****, we are putting our conference members at a disadvantage and at the same time we are all losing money.

^ it was reported yesterday Southern Cal contacted Drevno. It's unclear by who or for what position.

1 possibility is that it's Helton making early moves to build a staff in the off chance he gets the job. The other possibility is it's boosters/administration trying to convince him to come back.

Now I'm not talking about it because I want him to get either gig. But you not wanting him here and you saying he has not been contacted at all are two different things.

EDIT

I won't even mention Kris Richard's name

I'll buy the Helton angle, although, I don't think Drevno leaves Michigan for anything short of a HC gig. That being said, I don't think he fits the bill of what TBoT is looking for in the next head coach, which is legit HC experience, something that Drevno lacks.

Fair or not, it is what it is.

I like Drevno a lot, he made a very smart move by rehitching his wagon to Harbaugh. He's going to get some HC phone calls, but don't think he's ready to take on a major program, could work or he can bomb like Will Muschamp.

Miami announced a search committee that includes Vinny Testaverde and Jon Vilma, and Korn Ferry is handling the search.

 search committee? We looking for a coach in the Mojave desert or something?

Everyone knows who the candidates are, what is this buffoonery?

It sounds like everyone involved is covering their bases and doing their due diligence but at this point it looks like it's going to be one of three people in this order: 1. Jon Harbaugh 2. Tom Herman 3. Clay Helton

It's telling that these are the three names recruits and their parents have been mentioning also, and it sounds like someone's been telling them Helton prob won't be retained.

Creating a search committee is buffoonery?  I'd rather have other people with input on the search than having Blake James making this choice on his own.

This is a common practice, my guy.

Vilma's name is probably just thrown in there to appease the fans. I doubt he'll have any real inputm

If he wasn't included, then people would be complaining about not having a former  player's voice and how the program is running from it's past/history. Can't please everyone, man.

The ironic part is that these kids are pining for Helton, to the media and social media, yet they've come out flat like pancakes the past two games. Yes, they won both games, but holy hell does the team come out flat.

They come out flat the next two games, and they lose. Oregon is going to be tough, with the linebacking corps being decimated by injuries and it is still Oregon in Autzen.

I can see how the kids want Helton, they're thinking with emotions. Almost why you don't let toddlers do what they want, they are not thinking logically.

Don't know if the new coach will try to retain Helton, but I can see him moving on regardless. This will be the second time he gets passed over, technically.

There's a lot of smoke with Harbaugh right now, don't think Herman will appease the people that write checks. While recruits are important, they come and go, and the next class is always around the corner. Let's not forget what's more important at this moment... TBoT and Donors, especially since they are still trying to finish the Coliseum Renovation funding.

Wouldn't buy anything a recruit says... nor their parents. (Real life... would you listen to a 17 year old,... nope.)

Virginia Tech: Sources tell FootballScoop that Whit Babcock considers Larry Fedora a strong candidate at Virginia Tech. We are also of the understanding that Rich Rodriguez will not be a candidate for this position.

Jim Mora said he won't file an official complaint to the Pac-12 over teams simulating snap counts. Doesn't believe it would be "effective."

Joey Kaufman Verified account @joeyrkaufman

As UCLA has been called for 13 false starts the past two weeks, players, coaches said Oregon State, Washington State called out snap counts.

Mora: "It tends to be a greater source of frustration when you get some answers back than it is a source of some impactful discussion."

Reminds me of when the Eagles players were yelling "Papa John's!" to interrupt Peyton's snap count/cadence.

Can't remember the last time we played them in the Swamp at night.

That must have been when Brantley was still here, his entire tenure has been erased from my memory.

I remember now that was my last year living in Gainesville and we held y'all to under 100 yds of offense and still lost the game cause that idiot threw 4 picks.
