OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

harassing players when they're out and about is lame as hell but that's the culture

I don't know (he didn't specify) whether Mitch Leidner's been criticized in person (agree with you if so), but with his parents, in-person is likely the only manner in which they could be reached so that might have to be in person? Unless somebody's just @'ing the dad and mom? ... SMH  Doubt it.

So for Mitch, what's your philosophy then on criticism on:

- Social media, Twitter specifically (not @MitchLeidner of course, but just when it's sort of a communal roast session between people on Twitter)

- By columnists, bloggers, and sports talk radio. Can't they analyze and criticize truthfully w/o getting in on "the jabs/shots"? The line is hard to tell with how bad he's been, because some feel they have to withhold their comments (hurt a sports radio talk show dude saying this today) but isn't that not doing his own job because somebody else is not doing well at their responsibilities on a football team?

Jeff Driskel was from Florida, went to the University of Florida. One of the most criticized college QBs I can think of in recent history. 0_0

Anybody have some good examples of that happening at schools that weren't the home state of the QB?

I hope CLK really didn't throw everything away for that.  She's nuts too

Look, it's a slippery slope conversation, because mental health is acknowledged now more than ever. It's all about being PC now, and not pressing the wrong button.

1. Good for Kill for using this an excuse to skip out on the QB hot bed that is Minnesota :smile:lol). Lame excuse to not recruit a particular position in your state.
2. Imagine if Minnesota was a major program, sure he may be getting roasted locally, but he's not getting roasted nationally like QB's and/or elite players from Power Schools.
3. This QB is a mental ******, probably getting the criticism equivalent of a HS QB in Texas. (Can I say "mental ******" or is that not PC anymore)
4. No one outside of Minnesota cares about Minnesota.

Honestly, if he can't handle it, he needs to quit. Wouldn't want a guy like this leading my team... and if he was at an actual football school he would be getting killed for being terrible on and OFF the field.

Nah homie...I refuse to believe Lane stepped out on wifey for a 5.

If he did step out on that attractive wife of his it had better have been for a certified banger.

Men don't always look for the prettiest thing smokin' when they step out on their wives. Esp busy ones. They step out on them with women who are close to them, in proximity

Doing a little google deep diving , and looking at the wedding pictures . My goodness is there anything more eerily uncomfortable than a traditional southern white wedding . There's something about it that makes me :x

sheeesh ... NEVER a good sign when both teams medical staff's are on the field addressing an injury. Hope the young will be alright

Kiel done

edit: There was already controversy with him even playing in this game. Tuberville committing coaching ethics suicide

Kiel's lifeless corpse made the hit look worse than it was...Good call not to throw him out and that's basically what I would just call "football." Still hate to see injuries like that...Especially with what we know about concussions these days, but yeah, it still comes with the territory...QB or not.

well said and I completely agree. Jesse trying to make it more than what it was but merely just a solid hit led by the shoulder
