OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

I'm assuming Fuentes should be at the top for almost all these coaching jobs.

Miami needs to let go of the past and get a new identity as a program in my opinion. The days of Swag and cocaine are done. Go outside of the umbrella and get some new blood in there

I take no pleasure in a person losing their job but Alfred was great at most things except the thing he was hired to do and that's coach football. His loyalty to his friend is very admirable but Coach D wasn't a good fit at all and probably was a big reason for the team looking terrible.

Is that Sumlin video floating around real?
Yes, but it's not recent. Most likely from the coaching convention in Indianapolis at the beginning of the year.

Is Sumlin on the hot seat at all?
I think it's gonna depend on next year's results. I think he would have to end up going 7-5 to get any heat from anybody that matters. He needs to regain full control of the team or 7-5 might end up being a real possibility this year.

I think USC and Miami may have coaching vacancies at the wrong time. Maybe a year too early.

Hey fellas, I hope everyone has been well. I had to take a leave of absence after the Michigan-MSU game. I still haven't seen the replay since I left the Big House that night, I went to Tennessee for the whole Dooley era, and the first year of the Butch Jones era, and I have NEVER experienced hurt like that fambs :x :x

But it's all good

What was Golden?....
I just realized the irony of Golden not firing Dnofrio two years ago, Dnofrio most likely cost him his job, now Dnofrio is still employed.

Toa Lobendahn tore his acl and is out for the year. Second USC center and third o-lineman to go down :-/

So what (real) candidates are out there currently at a smaller school?

Herman
Fuente
Rhule (not sure if he is really desired)
McNeill

I'm sure there's a bunch more but in terms of coaches who haven't been fired/on the decline, anyone else?

Fleck, Babers, and Matt Campbell are the MAC guys.

The O he runs is the reason why he really doesn't get any looks, but Ken Niumatalolo will probably get a chance at a P5 job one of these days.

I think our conference mate Illinois will gun for one of the MAC guys, they love hiring them

i have a feeling the Va Tech job will be open. Wonder how long Snyder and Cutcliffe have left too

There is a rumour going around that Beamer is supposed to announce his retirement during their bye in 2 weeks.

RR name is getting some buzz for that job, but unless he just does not want to be a head coach, I'd be shocked if Bud Foster didn't get promoted.
