The NBA Draft Thread

I hate Drew Hanlen

Ran into him in Playa Vista the other day lol

The amount of players age 21 or under that have shot over 35% with 6+ attempts in the NBA.

1. JR Smith, age 21 (06-07), 39% on 6.1 attempts

2. Zach Lavine, age 22 (16-17), 38.7% on 6.6 attempts (turned 22 in March post injury)

3. Danilo Gallinari, age 21 (09-10), 38.1% on 6.0 attempts

4. Dlo, age 21 (16-17) 35.2% on 6.1 attempts

Devin Booker (who Mamba constantly hypes cuz he thinks it makes taking Okafor over Dlo look better), 36.3% on 5.2 attempts (2016-2017). Is Devin Booker not a shooter, Mamba?

One of those clearly isn't like the others. Near 40% on 6 3 point attempts a game, is great and borderline elite.

Booker is a scorer not a shooter like I've said countless times before.

Ok then he just turned 21 and he only has to improve his stroke by 5% to reach elite status :pimp:

If Lonzo is as good as projected, and if BI can make a huge leap (shooting 29% from 3 but it's possible to improve, young players do get better... so I heard), Dlo should get mad more open looks next year. Based on those stats PCH Roadwinder posted up there, "Good from 3 status" coming soon :pimp:

Are you gonna hold Lonzo to the same standards too, seeing as he shot 41% from 3 but only 67% from the line?

I am skeptical, I have doubts he's a true talent 40% 3 point shooter in the pros.

I also don't think Markelle Fultz is a true talent 40% shooter.

but with the number of high volume/ high difficulty attempts he took I think he's going to be at least above average.

Lonzo is going to have the benefit of no less than 3 playmakers creating open looks for him. He should flourish from 3

Randle tries too hard to be a playmaker but he does have some skill in that area. He doubled his assists per game from his rookie year to almost 4 a game. He still plays with blinders on sometimes though.

Yup, Randle doubled his apg from last season. Top 3 amongst power forwards. His DHOs and illegal screens are a big reason Nick young had a career year from 3. He draws a ton of attention when he operates from the perimeter because he can beat almost any big off the drive and the defense is ready to help. I know most of yall watched less than 15 minutes total of Laker games so it's understandable why you wouldn't really know

I'm not sure if it's accurate but I seen a post on Instagram that has lonzo shooting 50% from mid range on some thing like 8 attempts how are you guy saying he has no mid range game when he he only took 8 shots and he shot 50 %

You kind of answered your own question

Not really cuz 8 shots is not enough to say he don't have a mid range

The fact that he isn't taking shots there indicates it's not an aspect of his game.

8 is extremely low

But i'm not even sure he took 8. Appeared to be even less than that.

Lol it's 8 from one side of the floor my bad I'm not sure how to get a pic of Instagram but lakerscenter page has a shot chart for all top prospects

Frank is a straight up bust

In yesterday's playoff game

0 pts, 0 ast, 4 rbs, 3 fouls in 18 min

He has great size and young, that's it

If anybody could point to why he should be top ten pick, please show me

Probably this...

He had great semi and final in U18, going 27 pts, 6 ast shooting 71 %

But, his previous 4 games in that same competition, he went 9 pts, 4 ast shooting 30 %

so we basically going by 2 great games he had, but ignoring his 40 bad to mediocre games
